Yes, because it really makes sense to start a whole new thread when you can acknowledge that there's already numerous threads discussing the same topic, but you only want a poll.
None the less, my opinion stays the same. Don't trade the guy unless he asks to be moved, and if the return is along the lines of Teague/crap/crappy 1st, then no, don't move him. There's no point in taking a teams junk for Steve, we'd all rather see him retire a Sun. He's not a crazy ring-chaser type anyways, and by the looks of it he'd be able to go another year after this contract, maybe 2 (he may well play into his 40's if he chooses to do so). Our training staff saved the mans career, same with Hill, so I'm sure he will not publicly demand a trade.
So in a jist, the return for a Nash trade has to obviously be great for us to consider moving him. A mediocre "prospect" who will more than likely be out of the league after his rookie contract and the chance to sign another one is just not good return.
Call up Portland, see whether they'll give us a 1st/Oden/Miller for Nash, and take a gamble on the big guy. Maybe our medical staff can work their magic, who knows?

I think you should add different options for the yes. For example, yes because it's in the long term best interest of the Suns or yes because he deserves a chance to play for a contender or yes because this team can still make a run this year. Maybe a couple different no reasons as well but I can't think of the options

I see no sense in giving more options. All has been said in other threads. I wanted this poll just for us to see pure % of answers yes or no.
But, vox populi is the most important. I'll extend poll

There's no point in keeping Nash right now. He's an amazing player who'll be great on any other team, but with the crappy CBA lockout crap that's going on next season he'll be virtually out of the trade picture. He's not getting younger, nor is the team in general. We trade him, rebuild, and take another two or three years to show some real power with younger players.
Let's face it.. Nash can't play forever.

Why the hell does he need to be traded he isn't the problem on the team. How about they get rid of the real problem on our team, VC, Warrick,MP,Childress Lopez and get some quality players for Nash. ALL NASH NEEDS IS A DAMN QUALITY PF AND THIS TEAM IS SET.

Thanks for changing the options. I vote yes because I want to see Nash win and he needs to move elsewhere to do that. This FO/coaching staff isn't smart enough to be give him a chance.

Nash will continue to lead the league in assists when he is fifty.
Also his progression in FT% will continue until he makes 1,052 in a row.
That last one will be with the Suns to seal a 120-point victory over [insert your least favorite Eastern team here] in the Finals. There will be a live feed of Kobe crying.
Then Stern will finally admit that he was rigging the system for the Lakers the whole time.
And Ginobili will finally shave his damn head - due to flopping-induced cancer treatments.

The reason you trade Nash is because he is one of the few assets on this team that has trade value. VC has some value as his is a large expiring contract (w/ a $4millon buyout). Lopez probably has some value to the right team. The other players you listed are marginal talent on long term contracts. Would you trade much for them.
Agree totally with the need to get a quality PF.

Yes because it's better for the Suns in the long run.
He still has good value now and is not getting any younger. If we push the button now, we can still grab something, like another future 1st.

No because there are no real trades to be had.

It's tough to say right now because we don't know the kind of market is out there for Nash. I agree he's not getting younger and should be traded while he still has value and still producing like an all-star but if we aren't getting good offers, we might as well just keep him.

I vote for option 6.
"The wait and see how this team performs closer to the deadline."
Who knows, maybe this team can get it together, and we can make a run. I don't want to kill that chance by dealing Nash now.

NO, for both reasons in the poll, and because there's no decent trade that makes sense, and because this team can still make a run next year. I don't think we're missing much--one or two pieces that may be possible to find in February or next summer. Then give the team time to develop synergy with all these new pieces: there's a lot of hope for Nash and SSOL next year if not this year.
Most teams would have to seriously revamp their style to really take advantage of Steve Nash, so I don't think it makes sense for any of the contenders to add him as the missing piece. All of the contenders already have a creative facilitator who they're comfortable with, or they wouldn't be contenders. It's really not the same as adding another scoring wing or quality big. Besides, contending teams don't want to give up actual valuable pieces. A bunch of the trade ideas are like, "Oh WOW! We could get a mediocre player and an expiring!!" Umm..He'll expire next year anyway, when the market will likely be better.
And finally because: he's extremely healthy, and doesn't play a style that pounds his body or demands explosiveness. He's playing phenomenal basketball right now, despite the inconsistent team around him. We can develop consistency with this team, and maybe a couple changes. He'll still be crafty and a superb shooter for a long time. It's really hard to predict how long he can keep playing at close to this level. I think it will still be years.

Makes perfect sense to me Los Soles. We cant lose by keeping him.
Go ahead and lock this thread.... I think logic has finally presented itself in the above comment...., <<EDIT>> to up hold my 'to be less acidic' resolution. Its as hard as quitting smoking.
