Bold words from the long time agent. I'll put money on Nash gone this summer. No doubt.

So, do we like Fredette at PG?

More sensationalism. "Oh hi... I'm a journalist that's sad everyone else is talking about Jerry Sloan and Deron Williams already... Here's some crap to blow out of proportion that no one else mentioned in a while, that really has no substance."

He's not wrong; the Suns are not putting the pieces necessary to contend around Nash, why waste what remains of his career?

But why rehash the same sh** over and over and over... especially when the Suns have been playing like a different team lately?

Sounds like his agent is trying to force a trade...

Yeah though...it's in the best interest of the team and himself if he's traded. I know I have never been his biggest fan but I'm going to miss him, was fun watching him get 10 + assists like it was another day the office. Plus I don't think the Nash sells tickets thing is working anymore. Anyone who watched the game last night vs the W's notice that only half the arena was full? Looked like a Yotes game...

Let Utah have him. Better for everyone involved.

I wouldnt be surprised to see sarver trade nash for a TPE + picks, buy out Carter and go into the new CBA with no contract over 10M and less than 40M on the books and a handful of draft picks to play with.

Suns would trade Nash now if anyone would offer anything close to fair value. No point in trading Nash for the sake of trading him. So unless the usual suspects actual can put together talent/assets that would actually speed up the rebuild it's just more of the same. Though I do think it's more likely he'd be traded in the summer than before the trade deadline this year.

I think this is the first time i have agreed with you.

I see Fredette as (sorry Miklo) JJ Redick ver 2.0. Great college scorer, bench/role player lost in the NBA.

JJ makes the same amount of 3's per game at the same percentage as Kevin Durant. Being in the same sentence as Kevin Durant? Doesn't sound lost to me :D

I really doubt Nash will be moved this Summer, because right now, this team is a playoff team. We are only one good power forward away from being a Top 4 seed.

We will use the off-season to find that missing piece, not trade our most valuable player away. We can get one hell of a Power Forward with our MLE.

As for Nash, i know this sounds crazy, but just follow me on this:

Wiretap says Denver wants Felton in exchange for Billups added to the Melo deal. Say NY does that, and the deal is the rumored NYK/DEN/MIN 3-way:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4cr8k2f

Knicks get Melo/Billups
Nuggets get Felton/Chandler/Curry/Brewer
Wolves get Randolph/Mason

Knicks end up with Billups/Fields/Melo/Amare/Turiaf.

Well, Billups is basically an expiring as he has a team option next year. What if the Knicks let him expire or trade him to the Suns (so we could use him as an expiring) and add Nash.

Nash/Fields/Melo/Amare/Turiaf in 2011.

THEN after Nash expires next year, they complete the Melo wedding toast and sign Chris Paul as a free agent.

http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/columns/story?columnist=oconnor_ian&id=6107433

After they sign CP3, they could turn around and sign Nash to a MLE/Grant Hill contract and have:

CP3/Nash
Fields/Douglas
Melo/Azubuike/Williams
Amare/Gallo/
Mozgov/Turiaf

The real question is whether this statement was Duffy’s own doing — or a seed planted by Nash to say, “We’ll see how this year plays out. After that…”

Seeing the question that Stein asked Duffy would provide a lot of context to this quotation.

I think Fredette will be a better version of Redick. Fredette seems better creating space and getting his shot off, Redick is more of a catch and shoot player.

Think he'll be a productive player in the NBA for a long time even if he isn't an all-star.
