"It is hard (for Vince Carter). First of all, he's not the youngest right now. Trust me, I know how I feel playing 30 minutes a game. I can only imagine how he feels being 34, 35-years-old and having problems with the knees and different joints and now after each game he has to recover and try to get his body right. It's not really easy. Vince is Vince, he's still going to bring it.

"I believe he's a guy going to score for us in the most important moment but he's in pain. That's all I can say right now. I know him for a little bit and he doesn't feel comfortable you know. If he doesn't really want to talk to you in the morning that means he got problem with body, you know. When he's going to be healthy, he's going to be very good."

Dude is legitimately injured. Maybe now Suns fans can stop whining about his lack of aggression when he can barely move, but is still trying to play.

I gotta agree - if he was 100% he may be a different player on the court - but when he will be better our season will be over. No time to wait for our starting SG to get healthy.

I was against the decision to play this season, he should have chosen to get his knee fixed and we could have used Chilly and Dudley instead. Well, Gentry is a pu**y and lets Vince play, even if he is not healthy. He is a dumb, dumb man...

I used to love Carter, even when his shot was off - but since he has come to PHX he hasn't done squad. So I really believe there's a real injury holding him back.

Then sit the hell down. They play better when he is off the floor. It takes the Suns 36 Minutes of game time to undo what happens when they try to feature Vince in the first quarter every damn game. Start Dudley let the guy heal and go play somewhere else next year.

I'm in significant pain every time I see him take and miss a bad shot.

If he's injured, can we PLEASE put him on the IR? That would be the best thing Carter has done since coming here.

:D - it IS kinda mindboggling how such a veteran player can take the dumbest shots all the time (while wearing orange).

At least this gives Suns fans some views that Vince actually cares about the team.

He's not dodging it or trying to use his injuries as an excuse. He did the same thing earlier this season in Orlando and in his 2nd to last year with the Nets.

People claim the guy doesn't care about the team or doesn't about the team, but this guy has alot of heart and it's hard to see him play like this when he's not even completely healthy.

ALSO, the title is misleading. Gortat said Vince is "in pain." Hopefully the week off from the all-star break has helped him a bit, but if he keeps going on like this, I hope he's just healthy enough to help the team, because as much as fans might admire your determination Vince, your only holding the team back if your playing not healthy.

Nah, I think he deserves some of the blame - not only because of his boneheaded shot selection BUT also because of his relaxed attitude before, during and after games.

It is annoying to see him joke and laugh with our opponents while we are about to lose another important game.

Yeah, I didn't say he deserved No blame at all, but yeah Vince has had alot of bad moments so far with the Suns. But it looks unlikely that he'll be traded, all we can do is hope for him to bring his A game for these last 28 games.

and as for him laughing at the end with players? He's been doing that since he was a young foolish kid in Toronto. The guy loves chatting it up with other guys.

(BUT, I guarantee you Vince does take games seriously. Just remember his 33pt game againt OKC? Guy fizzled in the 4th and then left the court right away after the game.)

Yep, it's not the most important thing - but you gotta agree that when every fan in front of the television and in the arena is pi**ed because we gave another winnable game away...

...the last thing you want to see is one of your players joking around, don't you think? I mean, he is not the only one with this soft approach - many of our other players are doing the same but not that obvious.

I still hate it - save it for the backstage area or the parking lot but not right after the game. Show some anger and balls ;)

I don't think there will be any trade for the Suns, so we will see what our destination will be the next 5-10 games.

Pain doesn't force you to have poor shot choices.

With exception to RvM, quite alot of the other Vince bandwagoners have been douches. Not as bad as Hedo fanboys though...They were BAD.

if he's in pain it's understandable that he's struggling but he should take some time off it's serious

yeah, good riddance.

The guy takes bad shots, and if he was injured he would insist on not playing. Period.

^^^ Of course not. I'm pretty sure he's aware of his reputation, which is why he always plays through bumps and bruises. We'll see what happens next week (first we'll see if he's still in a Suns uniform).

Sit Carter for a couple weeks

Let Dudley start. Bring Childress in the rotation.

See how it works out for us. then when Carter feels better make a decision if you stick carter back in or let childress keep playing.

Seems pretty simple to me.

They're all over our board these days. They will jump on you and be quick to correct anyone who has anything remotely negative to say about Turk.
