I would say that Utah and Denver will drop giving us an opportunity to make the playoffs. We're not that far behind in the loss column but we need to win 4-5 games ASAP before it's too late. What do you think about our chances now that Denver lost Melo?

I will tell you after whatever trades Phoenix makes.

At this point, Nuggets will tank, and we can move up. The Jazz look to be heading that way as well. I think we'll make the playoffs, but not be very competitive.

We can make the playoffs, but we won't do any god damn damage. I love the idea of upsetting San Antonio...but that ain't happening.

If we could dump Vince for someone of some value, we would have a shot...or trade Vince back for Jrich.

i think denver is going to surprise a lot of you........ in my opinion they got better with this trade.......... chandler and gallinari will put up more then melo any night........ chandler is a beast and now he will show it... felton and lawson are a good pg duo that can run bench and starters.... they have a legit big man backup now mozgov.... and there stacked......... pg lawson, felton sg smith afflalo sf... chandler gallinari pf.. kmart, harrington c. nene , mozgov ......IF THEY GET THE CHEMISTRY RIGHT.... THIS COULD BE A BETTER TEAM

vince can't go back to orlando via trade.

anyway, we aren't making a trade. The only player we want to move is childress, and he's not going anywhere with that contract.

We kind of need everyone else, IMO. Vince is so unreliable, that we're going to need MP and Duds to be our 2. All we need is ROLO to improve his game, and I believe we'll be playoff bound. Upsetting the spurs? Maybe not. I think we can go as high as the 6th seed, honestly (that's really only a difference of a couple wins). Utah slows, Nuggets leave, Hornets start playing to their level rather then above it.

all i gotta say is the melo-less nuggets are crushin the grizzlies right now...... this trade i think is going to make them better..... melo did jack a lot of shots...........

Yeah, I'm worried about this. Without Melo's ball-stopping and with Lawson at the point, they can play a lot faster and spread the ball out. 6 guys in double-figures against a solid Memphis team that has been hot. Nuggets have a superb defensive frontcourt and plenty of talent around the perimeter.

Hard to say after one game, but I don't know that we can rely on Denver crumbling. I've been hoping they would really blow it up -- trade Nene and/or KMart or something. For one night at least, it looked like we might have a better chance of catching Memphis.

I expect the Nugs to have a bit of a bounce - finally being done with melo must be a huge relief. Frustration, anger, resentement - let's just hope they don't keep their other guys and set out to prove they didn't need the guy.

Utah Jazz trade Deron so that's another team weakened.
