I know some people are afraid of interrupting chemistry or whatever by doing a trade, but seriously, VC needs to go.

Jermaine O'Neal for Childress and a pick?
Definitely YES.
It is not like Childress is getting playing time nor will he fit in next season with Hill, Pietrus, and Dudley all possibly coming back. And let's not forget Childress cannot shoot therefore cannot play starting shooting guard at all.
Jermaine O'Neal is not going to play much, but that's okay. He and Warrick can play backup PF and Warrick can take over since Jermaine is injured all the time.
You might as well get Jermaine with only 2 yrs left than Childress with 5 years left.
Nash/Drag/Dow
Vince/Pete
Hill/Duds
Frye/O'Neal/Warrick
Lpz/Gort/Siler

for me, from financial point of view, pure swap O'Neal - Childress is great. Swap + pick - from financial point of view is good, too. This swap has nothing to do with basketball.
I'm for it.

Alex Kennedy - 02/23/2011 2:04pm EST-
The New Orleans Hornets continue to shop Marcus Banks' expiring contract. The Hornets have tried to move his $4,752,000 ending deal for much of the season, but have had little success. If he is not traded, Banks will ask for his release from the Hornets. The two sides have discussed a buyout, but New Orleans wanted the veteran guard to give up a large portion of his salary, which ended talks. There is still the possibility that Banks is moved as part of a larger package, but the odds of him being traded straight up remain slim.

The problem is nobody wants Vince - not Childress.
But if Bobs are willing to do G Wallace for Pryz - I cannot understand why they won't take Vince since he is also expiring and is a temporary wing filler for the departing Wallace. Bobs already have 4 centers...can't imagine why Joel Pryz is their liking.....

They just wanted him because he is an expiring. Thats all they wanted, an expiring and a draft pick. They also wanted to dump some salary (Diaw), but Cho wasnt having none of that.

I need a trade.
I'll pray with you too Kerrsed, for a trade.
Any of the following departures would be nice: Vince, Josh, Warrick, or Lopez if need be.

Some of the best trades are the ones you don't make. I know this is an exciting time and it is hard to see some teams make splashy moves while the Suns sit still. However, making a move simply to make a move is not the answer. I'm sure the Suns would move Vince if 1) a team was interested and 2) we could acquire decent talent in return. Problem is, by all accounts both of the requirements are not being met.
O'Neal for Childress? Really, people? O'Neal is doneeeeeeee. The only reason to make that move is to give the $arver haters more reason to scream cheap. Standing pat, if a decent deal is not out there, is the right "move" to make.

Phoenix should try to trade for Kirilenko and Favors now.
Carter's expiring, Childress, and Orlando's pick maybe?
Favors clearly won't get time behind Millsap and Big Al.

I doubt Utah is going to give up young talent. If they are in rebuild mode the suns might be able to work something out with carters contract for kirilenko but no way is favors going to phoenix in a trade like that.

Utah has been getting many many calls about Favors, and has let all teams know they are not interested in trading him. From what i read, they understand he is not ready to be a starting PF yet, and will bring him off the bench for Milsap. In a year or two, when he is ready, they will trade off Milsap.

Because nobody - including Bobcats - want a long-term 5-yr deal such as Childress. They want expirings and draft picks. That's it. They want to shed salary hence trading Diaw/Wallance. Why'd they wanna take back 5 years of useless Childress?

I'd figure Utah is in full re-build now, so they could use a swing player, a pick, and cap space. But since I just woke up and Kerrsed says Utah says they plan on keeping Favors, then maybe not.

my sentiments exactly
interesting to hear that teh Utah management told Jerry they would blow the team up if he'd stay. he said no, and they shipped DWill anyway
