Howard, Gortat No Longer On Speaking Terms

Marcin Gortat spent his early years in the league backing up Dwight Howard. It was a relationship that benefited both of them.
With Gortat now playing for the Phoenix Suns, it appears their personal relationship has become non-existent. During the Magic’s 111-88 victory over the Suns on Sunday afternoon, Gortat and Howard never even acknowledged each other.
“We didn’t say to each other one word. We didn’t shake our hands, we didn’t talk to each other, we didn’t say anything. And that’s fine; at the end of the day he’s on a different team, I’m on a different team, and I’m a grown-ass man. I don’t need him any more.”
After the game, Howard provided a subtle jab at his former teammate.
“I knew he was going to shoot all jump-shots," Howard said. “Every day in practice, when gets the ball, it’s the first thing he does. Wherever he is. … His swag was on the building. He looked good, so I’m happy for him.”
Love this guy.

And he did a fantastic job. He contested every shot and played good, physical defense without drawing stupid fouls.

we need more guys like him. he's now tied for 3rd favorite current Sun with JD.

Gortat should be our only untouchable player, he is just so solid at C.
Its just disappointing that we have needed a solid center for so long and now that we have one, the rest of our team is lacking,

The media is trying to stir the pot. Gortat and Dwight don't have any ill-feelings towards each other. I've watched some of those videos wherein Marcin is supposedly taking jabs at Dwight and bragging about how he can handle the guy, but the accusations were totally off.
