Oh vince, boy does he look bad these days, coach nick here doing the breakdown rips him a new one. Kind of sad to see what he has become, but I don't feel bad.

He's ripping on a 34 year old SG. Why is a 34-yr-old SG being forced to guard Artest anyway? Artest must have 30 lbs on Vince and is still at the tail of his prime.

Those threes he's showing Carter take were often wide open (just missing but he needs to take those shots) or trying to beat the clock.

And Grant Hill is pushing 40 and yet, he does an admirable job on Kobe.

Carter had a bad shooting game, but in the Suns offense you need to be taking those threes, and Vince is actually shooting close to his career average this season for threes.

You could just as easily argue that instead of taking those open threes, if he's missing so badly maybe you shouldn't be passing it to him camped beyond the 3-pt line.

As for Grant Hill, he's 38 but he's only played in as many games as Carter. Mileage is similar. Shooting guards tend to "age" faster and lose their stuff sooner though, likely since they rely on athleticism more.

Grant Hill sat his ass for 4 years in Orlando...so its not surprising that he has to make up for all that time lost. Plus ppl act like Grant Hill is blowing p, when he averages the same as VC(though he plays D). Kobe is lucky he never had major knee injuries early in his career. Don't act like VC is the only superstar ever to decline....you got T-Mac, Iverson, Francis, Shawn Kemp, Penny, Dominique and many more...Kobe is a rare case like MJ..

Really? Artest is the easiest guy to defend for them if it isn't Fisher. He hasn't even been participating in the offense much for the Lakers this season. A lot of the time you'll find him sitting at the three point line for the entire possession. Artest isn't an offensive powerhouse. Artest makes a couple late game drives and all of a sudden we're asking too much of Vince?

Carter is a piece of crap, and indefensible at this point. Gentry shouldn't have had him in, absolutely inexcusable.

I KNEW Kobe was out on that play, wish it was reviewed. Gasol didn't get fouled, either.

Kobe's "great game" was highly exaggerated, and only started to do well in OT once Grant HIll "fouled" out.

We need to stop doubling/collapsing on Kobe. It showed Artest wide open on one play and he didnt pass to him, and I saw highlights of another play where he did get passed to and Artest hit a critical three. To double/collapse on Kobe is beyond reckless, and I have no idea why our coaching staff continues to do it at all.

Many players do simply decline but you couldn't have picked worse examples to try to exonerate VC with!

As for VC he's always been a bit of a paper lion. Some people want it more than others and he just doesn't seem to be one of them. To keep some perspective though these athletes play against ultra competitive people and as passionate as I am about watching the games I don't know how jazzed I'd be after my 5th 82 game season plus play-offs. It takes a rare breed to continue to elevate your game and VC just doesn't seem to be made of that stuff. It's easy to hate on him for it but ask yourself if you are either?

Lol best vince excuse ever. Don't blame the guy pricking threes and camping at the 3 point line, its the guy passing the ball that's the problem!

the most frustrating and depressing thing about that video wasn't Carter missing all those three's, a lot of them were open and or forced to jack up due to the shot clock.

No, the most embarrassing thing was his effort on defense, you can literally see him GIVE up on numerous plays that aren't even over yet. That's what really makes me mad.

i know vince sucked in this game but for you fans to be acting like you have great players playing on this team is laughable. steve nash is still good. actually i love the little guy, but he has terrible games too. grant hill is great on defense but his offensive game needs some help. grant may be older than vince, but all that dunking highlight reel stuff that vince has done for so many years, has caught up to him. before his knee injury this year, he was shooting about 50 percent, and almost 45 on threes. he still has game left, he needs to get healthy. prior to phoenix getting the magic players, phoenix was going nowhere but down. so even if vince has looked bad, and he has, he has brought enough to make phoenix contenders. what did dudley do that game against la? if alvin gentry thought that vince was making the team worse vince would be taking childress place. i guess it would be so easy for a phoenix fan to not appreciate vince, because you look at it like you gave up jrich for vc, but you didnt. btw jrich is not so good. if you gave vc, jrich's legs then he would still be lighting the scoreboard up. vince may be in decline, but for all of these fans to try and pin all the garbage on him is ridiculous. stop crying and support your players.
