Unfortunately not. It means they're saying what they're suppose to say to the public.

Gortat will lengthen Nash's tenure here. Without a PnR partner, Nash would move on. Those two are only going to get better at it. I look for 20/12 out of THE GORTAT next yr.

I think Gortat benefited being under Dwight Howard, so in some ways its better this way. Same as Nash learning behind KJ and Kidd before he went to Dallas.

Good to see the Chemistry. Even so people think Nash is as good as gone next year, Gortat should help (along with Frye, Hill, and Dudley) to keep him around, chemistry wise.

True about playing behing Howard, Gortat said himself he could be very far from the player he's right now if he would landed in other place than Orlando and it's not just the small stuff and usual NBA polite about former employer/teammate thing. At practices he had much tougher job than most of the centers in the NBA during real games, also defensive mindset of Orlando Magic system gave him a lot.

If he would landed in Phoenix from the start he would be in a bad situation. He started playing bball very late at 18yo, only 1 year in polish minor league and 2 years in Germany before draft. D'Antoni was all about playing small and fast with Amare in the middle, Gortat having very limited skills, no post game, no jumper. What chance he would have to progress and get playing time in PHX and how long it would take ? Would Suns even keep him for so long, good chance not.
In Orlando all they wanted from him was rebounding at defensive end, playing acceptable defense and setting screens so I think it was much easier start.

BTW Wasn't Gortat drafted only becouse Magic offered $, Suns on their own never planned to keep or even draft Gortat ?

No, he said something else. He wants to create with Nash duo that will be remembered for longer than just year or two, he said nothing about how long it will continue.

Marcin's dog, Leo "The White Tiger" LOL is awesome.

So glad Orlando gave us Gortat. He alone has made the trade worth it. We gave up Hedon't, Clark and J rich but got back center of the future potentially.

Potentially? If we can manage to keep Gortat locked up long term, he's definitely here to stay. His play warrants it, and he's got game on both sides of the court, which is always good.
