Would PHX trade Lopez for Speights?

Hey..from the Sixers board.

We were all discussing realistic options @ center.... and Robin Lopez's name came up.
Was just wondering what PHX fans thoughts would be on this trade:

PHX sends C-Robin Lopez to Philadelphia in exchange for F/C-Marreese Speights.

Philly needs someone who will just rebound n block shots... and Lopez is more of a fit than Mo.

Speights would give PHX a 6'10 low post and mid range scorer which would be an upgrade over Hakim Warrick...assuming Gortat is eating up 30-35mpg at the 5 spot.

thoughts?

Robin Lopez? Rebound?

I'll do it, but I think we totally robbed you of this trade. There's a good chance we'll throw in a lotto-protected first as well if it's up to our GM/owner.

I think most suns fans would be willing to trade lopez for a second round pick in the 2035 draft. Three used basketballs, and a 25lbs dumbbell.

No. Robin Lopez is going to be a beast next season.

Yes, he has more upside than Robin and he is a really good player in offense.Lopez no defence, no offense.

Well not to sound greedy, because I already feel we would be wearing a ski mask and a gun in this deal, but what would it cost us if we added Warrick in the deal?

I am going to go against the grain on this one, and be AGAIN the minority on this board. Speights has been an absolute bust, he is intreaguing but has been a bust. Robin is 7'0 good size and before his latest regression was showing tons of promise. The man was hurt this year, and who knows at what point and to what extent. There were flashes of really good ball from him last year and this year early on. I want to see how he responds with a healthy back and another run. There was a really brief streach when we first got Gortat that for the first time ever in this franchise, we had two promising young 7"0ers and we were all very giddy. I say keep him and see what a healthy Robin provides when he gets back to 100%.

I'm not ready to give up on Lopez just yet, and it's horrible business to trade a guy at his lowest worth.

How can be a 16th be a bust? Anyway, like I already mentioned in the other thread that I think Speights would really flourish with Nash and would actually love to see that (and then damn why the **** did we trade him). As for the latest post, Speights value is also close to being at his lowest, he had a better season last year (just like Lopez, but I have to admit I like how Collins managed his role in the team).

Without a doubt I would if I were PHX.

I'd do this, I guess. I do think Lopez will be good next season, but I like Mo Speights too. He's a tweener though.

Lopez for Speights? In a heartbeat! Speights fits the Suns system well, while Robin on the other hand does not. Personally, I dont think Robin fits any system. Hes a decent backup at best.

Our biggest weakness is rebouding. Robin is a horrible rebounder but Speights is even worse. No, thanks!

Speights sucks and wouldn't even get minutes over Warrick.

Robin Lopez is our backup center and much better than what he was last year. We would get nothing for him and create a hole at the center spot.

Speights definitely looks like he has a higher ceiling though he's more of a combo big whereas Lopez is a legit C with legit size.

I'm 50-50 on this.

I can't stand Lopez, and would love Speights here

He's more of what we need at PF (backing Frye up) and is big enough to play some C

I think he slipped this year due to PHI running different rotations out - Young played some PF and Brand at C etc, so his mins dropped

Lopez - even if he does come right, I think his back issues should be someone else's problem...
