Players that played in this years post season who used to be and for the most part, SHOULD STILL be with the Suns if it was not for a cheap owner and lousy management...I won't include J-Rich and Hedo since that was a good trade...

Iggy (starter)
Deng (starter)
House
James Jones
Jason Kidd (starter) - Multi time allstar/HOF
Shawn Marion (starter) - Multi time allstar
Matt Barnes
Rondo (starter) Allstar
Nate Robinson
Amare (starter) Allstar/Multi time allstar
Kurt Thomas
Joe Johnson (starter) Allstar/Multi time allstar
Ibewka (GAVE his pick to Seattle plus another 1st rounder AND Kurt Thomas for a conditional 2nd rounder) WHAT A JOKE!

Could be missing more...let me know

I will always wonder what would have been...Hopefully Sarver loses more money in the banking industry and is forced to sell the team. WE CAN ALL DREAM RIGHT!?

We would not of had both iggy and deng.... one or the other. We traded into the next yrs draft, and it didnt work out.

who cares about house ? Hired gun.

James Jones... role player. effective. bit still a role player. Whoopee

Kidd ? He hit his wife... she got a black eye and we got Starblurry

Marion was a crybabydisgruntlerknowudI'msayin? No F-n way we give him the money he wanted. Nothing to see here except an ego on the move.

Who gives a ratsbutt about Barnes ? Hired thug.

Rondo ? Ouch... thanks D'ant, thanks BC for picking up Brian Grant's corpse ... yeah, that one stung.

We would have never drafted Nate... he was picked for NY so we could get Thomas.

Amare... yeah, mistakes were made, could have parlayed him to a better return, but he was packing either way... do you forget his 'I wanna play here too' tour ?

Dirty Kurt ? That was the worst move we made... Kerr ? Sarver ? whoever.... yup, poor negotiation, blood in the water.

Joe Johnson ? 5 more mill and he stays.... but no way we match the crazy Atlanta offer... he wanted to go home to mamma anyway.... and now look... the new Arenus.

Spiltmilk curdles up and stinks. Get over it. Every franchise has its skeletons. We just got on a run and couldnt stop the dominos from falling. It's not that way now. Keep in mind, the Colonjellos were present for many of the above.

Nope, not mad at all. Frank hit most of it right on the head, the only real head scratchers are Rondo (Dantoni didnt want a pg. who couldnt shoot) and the Kurt move. Other than that If i had to listen to whiney ass Marion cry about not being appreciated while being the highest paid player while not having any offensive skill I would have thrown up. We took a gamble that Shaq would put us over the top and gambled with Marions contract... oops gamble didnt work. We couldnt give Amare 100 mil of garenteed money with his injury history and the possibility of his knees exploding. Joe wanted to be the man and wasnt worth the money he got when we sent him to Atl. and surely aint worth the money now! Deng was injured much of his early years, and Iggy is overpaid for what he brings now. The others arent even worth the ink.

It happens, but Rudy was ours as well. But a few of those picks were through trading one of those original players. So besides the Iggy/Deng, there are a few that we wouldn't have had, if we hadn't traded players in the first place. Same could be said for guys we passed up. Heck we continue to try and get back players we traded away, for more than we would have paid them for. Gortat was our pick, traded on draft night, and now we have him back for more than seven times what we would have paid him.

It happens. Players from one team go to another. Sometimes they're successful. Good for them.

Yup - he had a nice thing here - a team that fit his talents perfectly and vice versa, big salary ... now he's a role player in Dallas. Very hard to figure how Trix thought he was a #1 option, max contract guy for a team and that he was somehow disrespected in PHX

Too bad - he's playing well for the Mavs but he is who he is .... and he's not Dwight/LeBron, Kobe etc.

If we had some of those guys, we wouldn't have those other guys.

It's just history at that point.

Who cares. Rondo for example, how would we know he'd be a good player? We didn't . These players just got good, it isn't luck, it's just nature. We don't keep our picks, and we've made it to the WCF last year. I see no reason why we'd be angry about this, we've still been a pretty successful team until Amar'e left.

How would we know Rondo would be a good player? Scouting, or the lack there of in our case. D'antoni wasnt into defense at all though, so how could we expect him to want a defensive point guard. Out of all of these, the only ones I miss are Kidd and Amare. We traded Marion at the end of his prime, so im alright with that. JJ is a greedy underachiever. Ibaka woulda been nice though. The rest either werent supposed to be our players from the beginning or are just traveling role players.

The bad moves were Joe and Amare. Trading Kidd led to Steph led to Nash who is now the greatest Sun ever. Yet OP cites moving Kidd as a bad thing. Too simplistic

I worry about people that make posts like this focusing only on the bad without citing any of the good. How many good moves were made to create a solid 6 year run as a contender? No we didnt get there, noone wants it more than me. But revisionist criticism is the easiest thing in the world, especially in sports and politics.

I've spoken with Mr Sarver, he wants nothing more than Suns success but wont go down the break the bank road to get there. ala, old Mavs and Knicks teams. Never works anyway, what NBA team has ever "bought" a title? You have to build it through free agency, good trades, and good drafting.

My current concern: being in the 40 win club is the worst place an NBA team can be. We may be falling in to that trap.

Ehhh I'm over it. Useless looking back.

More concerned and mad about how uncertain our future looks at the moment.

Agreed. This topic has been scrutinized and discusses so many times, I dont even can angry about it any more.
