Pacer fan here and I wanted to ask you guys if Carter had anything left in the tank. I know he's old and you guys won't pick up his option but do you think he's done or do you think he can still score in bunches like he use too.

LOL, Thats what I thought you would say.

Does anyone know if he's going to chase after or ring or is he still going after cash. Personally I see him coming off the bench as the 6th man now but I don't know what his plans are or whats been reported.

at this part of his career he's best suited coming off the bench, i think he played better coming off the bench.

He's better suited not suited. I wouldn't even want him in the arena. He still has a huge ego and has done nothing significant in his career except cry and an occasional highlight reel. He wouldn't go to the Pacers too, he wants to go somewhere like Chicago, or maybe back to Orlando.
Personally, I feel he has negative value.

I think the Suns would do anything to unload his lazy a**. And I don't think he likes it here either (neither do many of us).

I see teams throw him the MLE. The Bulls are definitely going to pursue him. I don't see him joining the Pacers really. Plus, he's way too washed up.

Vince was hurt when he got here (knee), and being that he was trying to up his value to either get traded, or to make himself look better to get a better deal for next year, he never sat his @$$ down and just healed. He pushed it, and tried to be his old self, and failed at it more than he achieved it. With an off season of rest and rehab, Vince still has a tiny bit in the tank, he still had a game here and there where he could score at will in streaches. He wasnt a good fit here because he could not be consistent with his performances. This whole board hates Vince, like it is his fault about the circumstances he came into, needing to perform while injured, but he is not as washed up as he seemed here. A healthy motivated Vince is still going to be better than a Mike Miller right now for example. I was also supprised at how big Vince was for a Sg., he can post up most Sgs. and even with the injury, could get to the basket in spurts. When his shot is off, it is friggin off, but when he was on the few times it was here.... he was on FIRE!!!!! This board needs to stop disrespecting Vince like he personally traded himself, like he is the lone reason we sucked, like he slapped you guyses momma. Post injury, and in better shape, he can help someone. He needs to work out with some vets like Steve and Grant!!!

Get him healthy, sign him up for cheap and use him in short bursts as an offensive weapon - but he's never really been known for being a clutch guy, so you may not want him out there for the last shot scenario.

From what I've read the MLE is likely gone in the new CBA.

Anyone who throws MLE money at this guy is **** dumb.

Like so many others, he'll probably go to Miami for a minimum deal.

Vince Carter was straight trash for our team. If he was playing injured, Suns fans would appreciate his effort, but he didn't give any effort. The Lakers game pretty much sums it up, he gives up, he chucks threes. He has a stupid attitude. I was really big on the Magic trade because I thought Vince was going to step up and be a leader with Nash and Hill, but he never did. He's a shadow of his former self and still believes he deserves the spotlight.

Vince isnt going to play accept the league minimum, he is way too selfish and egotistical for that. He is more concerned about money than a championship.

Kill him and weight the body down with rocks, then send it out in bag with the Chinese current, and put some **** garlic in the bag so the corpse don't rise

IMHO as a fan of young team on an upswing you shouldn't care about Vince...
Especially when you have already too many SG/SF types on your roster ;-)

Qwigglez wrote:He's better suited not suited.

Come, how could you miss that one? "He's better suited in a suit" ;-)

He's the best player on our team. We'd trade you him for Granger/Hansbrough.

:o

Why waste the garlic ?

Vince is free to go where he wants... finally. He could read the wall writings here. Not his fault that Gentry/Upstairs gave him a significant role, that, at best, was fulfilled sporadically. He should have taken his first month or so off to get 100%.

Be careful Pacer. On a forum/fan level, Vince will bring a legion of defenders, who display a dedication we all wish Vince himself had.

I think he can still contribute in the right setting ......

but he has to have his mind right.

^Hate to burst your bubble but it's "consensus" and there's no such thing as a Chinese current
