Predictions!

The board seems pretty dead today so maybe this will spark a discussion.

It might be a little premature, but here are my predictions for the Suns next season award winners:

MVP: Steve Nash
It's hard to predict otherwise, unless he gets traded. The team runs through him, he runs the team. Without him we are a 20 win team.

Most Improved Player: Josh Childress
With a roster spot opening up for him, and the Suns need for better defence, Childress is sure to see much more minutes and he will be an integral part of the bench with his length and hustle.

Scoring Champion: Jared Dudley
I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict that if J. Dud starts he will average 18 points a game. Call me crazy.

Defensive Player of the Year: Marcin Gortat
With his rebounding, blocks, and good post and pick 'n' roll defense, I forsee Gortat being the anchor of our defense night in, night out.

Sixth man of the year: Josh Childress
This was a difficult one. I can see Markieff having a good rookie season and making an impact off the bench in a big way, but Childress is sure to be a solid contributor off the bench. I could see a 12/5/1/1 stat-line from him. This is contingent on Frye keeping his starting spot.

Most likely to be traded: Robin Lopez
Pretty easy choice, given the circumstances.

Prospect of the Year: Markieff Morris (a.k.a. Rookie of the Year)
I can see him making a decent impact as a solid contributor. 8pts/8rbs/1blk per game?

Let down of the year: Aaron Brooks
I think he will probably play the same inefficient game that he played last year. That's if he isn't traded/let go.

Rebounding Leader: Marcin Gortat
11/gm
Assist Leader: Steve Nash
11/gm
Steal Leader: Jared Dudley
1.5/gm
Block Leader: Marcin Gortat
2/gm
Final Record: 50-32

More chemistry, more consistency, better bench unit.

I'm just saying, if everything comes together its highly possible. We do still need to address the go to scorer though, otherwise yes, all we have to live on is optimism.

Yea, another 40-something wins season, another mediocre playoff series, another non-upset.

**** you, Robert Sarver. **** you.

It's shaping up that way. Here's to hoping for a good offseason of trades

Gotta love what David Griiffin is doing in Cleveland.

- Two high picks this year, landing their future PG and PF
- Traded an asset for a solid young SF, and a future pick.
- This means that, with with their own pick next year, they may very well have 2 lotto picks in a very deep draft. Could easily land a SG and a C.

That Sacramento pick is heavily protected.

Every kind -

the first-round pick the Cavs obtained is lottery-protected (picks 1-14) in 2012. It is also protected for the first 13 picks in 2013, the first 12 in 2014 and the first 10 from 2015-17.
