Gortat - Lopez relations

Hi all
Polish Suns fan, I've read forum for over one year and finally decided to post
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hXeI2GRBNoQuite interesting what Marcin said about Robin Lopez:
"our relations with Robin Lopez were not good from the beginning. First day I came to Phoenix I've asked RoLo where do we start training - at gym or video room? And he said "I don't know I haven't found out yet", Gortat went to gym and after two minutes Robin Lopez went to video room. Coach came to the gym and said- "Where are You, you're five minutes late" Gortat asked " I didn't know where do we start, I've asked Robin and he didn't know either, he didn't tell me, coach said" how he didn't tell you- everybody knew"
And Gortat said- aha I know where are we (himself and Rolo). Gortat promised himself that Rolo won't even catch the ball during training and revealed he was waiting more for a training than for a game (to try Rolo). At the and of a day he said that Rolo didn't take his 2 years big chance (of starting five) and he came and took this opportunity (which he was dreaming about behind Dwight)
What do you guys think about it?

Dang, sounds like Lopez might be out then. Hopefully this won't get out too much so that Lopez's trade value is lessened even more.

Welcome

Sarver probably thought the chemistry from the 09-10 run is still existent after he sent all those guys away. Tragic.
Thought RoLo is seriously trash at this point.

Gortat was always the better big man, even without Lopez's injury. Better rebounder, better defender (more consistent too) and a better PnR man.

To be expected. Sounds like RoLo was sour over Gortat coming in. I'm sure he recognized that Gortat had some talent and would try to take his minutes (and starting position).

And I'm glad he did. Gortat was our saving grace last season. He's a grown man and backs it up with game. He also has great character and work ethic. I wish I was 6'10 so I could try to build my game like Gortat.

I really don't think it was anything malicious on Lopez's part, and while I appreciate Gortat's outspokenness, I question why he needed to bring it up in front of those little kids who don't really seem like they'd care.
Anyways, I posted this over at Bright Side, and Seth emailed Robin about it:

Robin prolly just wanted to make sure that Marcin checked out his broken door masterpiece at the gym first...
Either way, at the end the day Lopez sucks and Gortat is awesome, and that's all that really matters in the grand scheme of things.

"Gortat went on to talk about the opportunity that Lopez had to earn and keep the starting job.
"This guy (Lopez) had such a big chance, such a big opportunity, to play in the best league. When I was Orlando, playing behind Dwight (Howard), I was praying to get a chance to play and he (Lopez) has had this chance for two years and he didn't take.
So I thought, when you don't want it, there will be 50 persons behind you, waiting to take this chance, and then I came by and I took (it). Sorry, that's business, that's life."
I mean, Gortat is spot-on. Cound't have said it any better.

Rolo's a scruby scrub. Of course Gortat thinks he's a pos.

Sounds like Gortat is just learning that this has gotten out (I guess he's not too keen on technology these days.... i.e. if you say it, it will find it's way onto the internet!). Anyhow, he just posted this on Twitter:
"i see people trying to put me in f... up spot!!!! I heard im dogging my team mate????I wish to talk to that person he said that!"
No offense, Marcin, but if you said it, then you put yourself in a "f... up spot". It's cool, though, everyone likes you WAY more than Robin, so you're good.
