Sign and trade Aaron Brooks for Ricky Rubio
Acquire Nick Young in FA - Qualifying offer - $3,695,857
Trade Lopez for Timofey Mozgov
Bench:
Ricky Rubio - PG
Nick Young - SG
Pietrus/Josh - SF - Depending on who is playing better
Markieff Morris - PF
Timofey Mozgov - Center
Thoughts, opinions? I think this bench would be amazing and even give starters a run for their money =p
Also in regards to the 2012 free Agency I would like to acquire
Nicolas Batum at SF for $3,166,230 since we will be in desperate need of a SF by then. And money will be free due to dropping Pietrus.
Ricky Rubio Will be a franchise PG and whenever Steve Nash retires will free up some room and Goran Dragic becomes an available FA in 2012. Ricky Rubio and Goran Dragic. Awesome Duo.
All the players listed have been relatively cheap to acquire. Picking up Batum and Dragic for almost nothing because of dropping Pietrus. Also Nash had about 10 Million that now we can spend on a solid FA who can be a go to guy. Grant hill leaves us with an extra 3 million to spend. Im thinking we pick up Gerald Wallace at SF.
So right now for 2012 Im looking at -
Starters:
Ricky Rubio - PG
Jared Dudley - SG
Gerald Wallace - SF
Channing Frye - PF
Marcin Gortat - Center
Bench -
Goran Dragic - PG
Nick Young - SG
Nicolas Batum - SF
Markieff Morris - PF
Timofey Mozgov - Center
Josh Childress - 6th man
Nick Young could also start but would like to see Jared Dudleys full potential. Give him a shot. I think this would be a great young team that has a lot of potential.

I know you are new, and welcome, but there are sticky threads that you can post your thoughts. Offseason Thread 4.0 and Lockout at the top of the page.

Oh okay thanks.
Edit i had to look up IBTL...lol they wont lock this right? I mean its not like there is to much activity. And its a constructive post. I mean it would just kind of seem disrespectful to lock something for no reason. Not attacking any1 or doin anything wrong (besides posted in the wrong spot lol but now I know)...

Two things.
Brooks for Rubio? Really?
And even though I want Dragic back, those two can't stand each other.

Yeah Rubio is like Steve Nash. He will be better than Aaron Brooks.
And I didnt know that Rubio and Dragic dont like each other =( that puts a dent in my plan... I mean they cant stand each other? Or did they just play against each other? Let me start looking at some other PGs while I wait for a response then =/
Edit: Ok well I dont like any of the PGs in free agency and some of them are to good to be bench material. Going for Rubio as the franchise PG.
Looks like Rubio and Dragic are going to have to learn to love each other. It will be a heart warming story as they win multiple rings =p

The reason he questioned Brooks for Rubio is because there is no way in HELL the Twolves would except that.

It is redundant, that is why they sticky threads so they stay at the top. Since there are two threads that deal with this topic already stickied, this thread should either be merged or discussed there. But they wouldn't lock it out of disrespect.

Does anyone have an idea of what it would take to secure Rubio?
Lopez/Brooks + 2012 2nd round sound better? I think first rounder is too much considering he is still unproven and Lopez/Brooks could pan out especially once the fro gets healthy and gets his 8 inches back.
Getting Rubio would greatly accelerate the rebuilding. He, Gortat and Duds is a nice young core to build around especially if they snag a first tier (or close to it) free agent in 2012 like they are planning to.

I'd love to see that but I think you'd need to give them a first - I believe Kahn when he talks about how much he loves Rubio's game
I think he'll be an exceptional NBA player and with nash to help with shooting ....

Rubio is probably untouchable.
