Sounds heathy ... more talkative than in the past ... admits he sucked last year ... worked out with Hakeem this summer (on his own dime??). Maybe we'll see a resurgence this year!

He really looks happy and if he could get healthy again he could be a very decent backup C.

I am glad he is feeling better, but his offense really wasn't the issue. His problem was rebounding. Hopefully the Dream showed him how to position better for rebounding.

More than likely we will trade him if he looks half decent.

Hopefully another team feels the same way. Maybe Houston?

I only would trade him for a young SG like Terrence Williams or Mayo and not dump him. Beas4Pres, watch some games from the 2009/2010 season and you will change your mind.

You people kill me. He looks healthy and now you want to trade him then? We have seen 2 years ago that Robin has talent to be a very good center. He had 30/10 games already which Gortat does not. He was disappointing last season but why in the world would we want to trade the guy if he is healthy again and can play like he did 2 season ago.

Here we go. We have a better C then him in Gortat, and now that hes healthy he might hold some value so we can use him in a decent trade, but hey, might as well wait till he injures himself (again), then trade him when he has no value. I guess that seems to be the running theme on this board. :-?

MarJJMar really confuses me. You guys call me a troll but he is the troll

Lopez has not done anything good at all . Maybe one good game also at Stanford Lopez was horrible

if your a 7 ft center drafted for your rebounding and defense and avg more fouls then rebounds

you suck and are worthless

Lopez is good for what he is, a young 7 footer. It generally takes bigs longer to adjust to the NBA than the perimeter players. Since we have Gortat starting, Lopez makes for a great player to have on the roster at this point since he can still take time to develop coming off the bench. If we get a good deal for him, then we should take it since there is a chance that he could get injured again. Lopez is a nice piece for us now, and could be even better for us down the line.

Good lord. You sound like an angry teenager.

Lopez has had plenty of good games for us. People apparently had way to lofty of expectations for him. He's a 7 footer with a long wingspan, good athleticism, good mobility, and a nice touch on his jump/free throw shot.

I agree his fouls are an issue, but I attribute a little of that to being injury. Players have a tendency to take short cuts on defense when they are hurt and it normally results in more fouls.

As for having a better Center(Gortat), Why not start both? Either are capable of passing as a Power Forward.

Sounds happy/healthy. If he can do what he did in 09/10 we'll be a much better team. If not....eh.

This could be really exciting news for the Suns. Lopez having a positive attitude and being healthy could really make a difference in his play. Like that he wants to get back to rebounding and defense.

The Suns could have a deep front line and be very strong on defense with Gortat, Lopez, and Frye (who improved defensively and in rebounding during the second half of the season). Morris is a known defender and Lawal has been rebounding and blocking shots well in the Polish League. Two three point shooters with Frye and Morris give us the stretch 4.

Dudley, Hill, Childress, Pietrus cover the SG/SF spots and are all good defenders.

Other than Nash our starting defense and bench defense should be really good.

Really want to see Morris in action, he could be a really nice bench player for us. Let's hope he can be aggressive on the defensive end and get after it on the boards.
