Will Lawal / Morris see minutes?

Given how we have Channing Frye (still soft, but better defensively) and Warrick (still athletic, but sucks at defensive rotations and offense, basically he sucks at everything), will we actually play Lawal and/or Morris? I'm pretty eager to watch them play, but knowing Gentry and our owner, it doesn't seem likely.
Actually playing is defined as at least 10 mins per game.

I'd like to see them both play. We're not winning anything this year so might as well see what they got if they're worth keeping around when we try to build a championship roster.
wow that's a sad thought that'll take at least 4 or 5 years

I'm sure Morris will get his 10 minutes but I worry about Lawal - I'd much rather see him out there than Hak.

+1
I can see Morris taking away Warrick's minutes as the back-up PF but I'm unsure about Lawal's long-term future here. Lawal should get a chance but, through interviews with Babby & Blanks, it feel as though the FO isn't really committed to his future here.

I doubt they see much. Frye, Gortat, Lopez will get the big minutes. And I think Warrick will probably get a few here and there. Barring an injury, I don't see a rookie or a sophomore returning from a big time injury getting meaningful minutes.
Actually, also barring a full on rebuild. If we trade Nash, all bets are off.

Well I see everyone getting minutes this year. We have too many back to backs, and very few rest days between games. Everyone may not get the type of minutes like in the D'Antoni days, but I could see a three line hockey groups for the first few weeks to see if things click. Giving Nash some rest, not that he'll want it.
If we don't resign Hill, does anyone see us making a play for Boris? I wish we would have made a move for Tinsley instead of Telfair.

I think so. Like RunDogGun said, the schedule is going to be tough, so big rotations will be beneficial to our core guys. Plus, we'll probably need one more big for the rotation. Let's see how they do in training camp, if one of them can beat out Warrick.
Really, with the way this season is, schedule wise, and just generally with the way our team is constructed now, we'll need one of them.

Actually, I could see a third string lineup with maybe one or two of the first string guys running the offense. In that group, I could see Warrick used at the three spot, trying to hold down the scoring forthat group. Team him up with Lawal at the four, and either Siler, or sign SWilliams. You have that group come in and out hustle whichever team we are playing for about seven mins, and then bring in the guys that produced the most.
At this point in this year, I would take a look at everyone, throughout each game. Do some research to see which guys play the best against certain teams or other players, and use that. We need the whole team, including every coach, player, medical staff, and FO guy doing ing whatever they can.

Calling Lawal a third string PF is overrating him?

Please explain!

After the way he was playing in Poland, I wanted to see what he would do against NBA competition. Oh well. Means more minutes for Morris and Siler. No way the Suns let Siler go after spending money to have him train with the Dream.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the Suns didnt pay to have him train with The Dream. They paid for GORTAT to learn from Hakeem, Siler was there to go against Gortat in the workouts. Its the same thing when Orlando sent Howard to train with Hakeem, Gortat was there as Dwights workout partner.

No appreciation thread for Gani? I wish the kid well and hope he catches on - very good player, hard-nosed, hardworking, understands he's a role player and glories in it.
Good luck

Not sure about letting him go. He only cost us $800k plus, I wanted to see what he could do after getting some minutes in Poland. Hey, but don't get down people, we will just trade for him in a few years when he becomes better. Oh and Warrick will be our new Lou?
