Telfair is a cancer. He has been on 6 teams in 7 seasons and every team has sucked. I would rather gave a lockout than to see this scrub in a Suns uni. Everyone will hate this punk in the locker room. I guarantee you he will piss Nash off.

EEk...just read the Insider write-up...show's what I know haha
I'm all for Shannon Brown as a starter at SG and Duds at SF if Hill signs elsewhere

This guy can play 16 seasons and still wouldnt make the playoffs. Suns signing Telfair? I think it's a sign of the apocalypse.

I have nothing against Telfair but being traded every year since he got in league something must be wrong. I would love it if Mike Bibby was signed instead

synopsis of the Inside piece?
read it - ---- I concur: Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek.
Please, no. I really only remember him form the hype, the bust after he entered the league, and what I recalled as a sort-of rehab of his rep; not a star, ever, but becoming a decent PG. The Insider says - no shot, poor decision making, bad passer, pasable D but not against any big, strong PG.
Sounds like a terrible choice.

Coro says Dowdell and Telfair still have to battle for 2nd string. If Telfair is warming the bench (Like he should be) then whats the point of having this punk in the locker room? I'd rather have Childress as backup PG if Nash or Dowdell gets injured. Last thing we need is a cancer in the locker room

Not sure what you guys really expected. If it's a vet minimum I don't see a problem.
According to Coro he's not even guaranteed the back-up position. Him and Dowdell will be competing for it. Honestly I'd rather see Dowdell get it and I think he will. When Brooks gets back I'm betting either him or Dowdell gets waived.

Awful, awful, awful. I'd much rather have Dowdell getting minutes as the backup PG. I've seen enough of Telfair to know that he's not good. And even if Telfair was 3rd string, it's still a terrible signing. That is not a guy you want on your team or in your locker room. Plus, we know he stinks. Wouldn't that roster spot be better served going to a hungry D-Leaguer with some chance at putting it together? Bassy is who he is at this point.
Equally concerning to me is that Bassy appears to be the first free agent that the Suns officially targeted. Obviously that doesn't mean he's the #1 guy they want, but it does mean that they think he's the best realistic option they have at PG. That doesn't bode well for the front office's competence.

Actually Jamal Crawford, Shannon Brown, and Ronnie Price were our first targets. They didnt want nothing to do with us. Now we see who does.

This is exactly what I have been trying to say. Couldn't have said it better myself. Telfair is a terrible signing for ANY NBA team on ANY occasion. Kind of depressing how low we have stooped. I love Dowdell. I love his attitude and we are a good team when he is on the floor he runs a good offense and has great energy on both sides of the floor. Telfair? Not so much. All we can do now is hope the deal falls through and we never have to see Telfair in a Suns uni.

I absolutely want no part of Telfair in a Suns jersey. He's not even decent.

I'm close to Zabian and hope Telfair don't come here trying to take Z's minutes. I don't know if it's been publicized but Dowdell has had some trouble with his knee so that's why the Suns were quick to get a backup. With Brooks overseas, they acted quick... no surprise.
