the long term analytical side of this wants Hill to walk; Nash to demand a trade and somehow get Billups and bodies for Nash and Schumpert to happen.

but with the Knicks signing Chandler, thats not happening.

i am just ready to re-build this team

His family (More-so his wife) really enjoys NY. WIth her being a recording artist, and her releasing a new cd here in 2 months, New York would be the spot to go to. Hill wants a 2 year deal, then after that, he is done with the league, and can live wherever he wants.

Im tired of hearing, "But he lives here." Yes he does, just like he lived in Detroit and lived (and still owns a house) in Orlando.

SAS and CHI are both offering 2 year deals, and a shot at a title. We could still offer him 2 years, but a shot at a title? I dont think so.

Kerrsed,

San Antonio is not a title contender anymore.

They're done.

Period.

Duncan't Giflopili and Parqueen are too old as a core now.

No 3 point shooters and no lock down defender ala horry bowen to compliment the big 3.

Chicago is a title contender however and I would love to see Grant go there.

Anywhere but San Antonio

So true. Also funny how people want to "contend" with Nash/Hill, yet Duncan/Parker/Ginobili is somehow not a contender?

Spurs won 62 games last season, they still have one great system and chemistry.

What hit them is... a HUGE front court in memphis.....

What they need is Splitter playing 30+ minutes a night all season, move Duncan to Center, where he can still be a 15 point 10 rebound player with elite defense.

They do NEED a SF, an athletic SF..... Kawi Leonard is that...

He's gone if he feels he can stay healthy for 2 more years elsewhere, I really do think our amazing health staff is weighing on his mind. I can pretty much guarantee he wants to end his career healthy and active, not injured and in street clothes on the bench.

If he feels other places staffs are not up to par, there are worst ways to go out than playing on a mediocre Suns team for 2 more years.

Guarantee you the Spurs will not win another ring with that core.

They don't have the 3 point shooters and they don't have the lockdown defender on the perimeter anymore.

If they sign Hill they sorta get Both and they could potentially win it all but they're not beating the Lakers or the Heat or maybe even the Celtics in the finals. Not happening.

I don't think Suns are a contender this year at all with Hill or without him. I'm realistic.

I just think we should rejoice in knowing San Antonio is finally done.

Their 62 regular season wins don't mean anything. Ours certainly didn't we don't have a ring to show for it.

Duncan can't do it anymore throughout the playoffs and Ginobili is getting up there in age and body wear and tear as well

Let him go to a better team. A 2 year deal would cut into money for the following season, even if it's just 4-5 mil.

If Hill wants to go, I fully understand his decision and respect it.

But if it's to the Spurs, thast a totally different scenario.

A 2 year deal is out of the questions. No way you give a 39 year old 2yrs/11M$. Thats 5-6 M$ caproom less next year that is a huge deal.

Because even if Howard, Paul and Deron do not hit the market who is to say that OKC would match max offer for Westbrook for example.

grant has always been one of favorite players even before we signed him. I have loved ever minute he played for us, but I wouldn't mind if he left cause I know we need to start rebuilding and I want to see him win a ring.

I would prefer if he went to the knicks or bulls, I wouldn't like if he went to the spurs, lakers, or heat but where ever he chooses I'll still love the guy.
