Phoenix Suns Alternate Universe Report

Theoretical physicists have more and more bought into the 'multiverse' theory most of us know about from comics books - i.e. the "other Earth' where Batman married Catwoman, Rick Jones became the Hulk, not Bruce Banner and teh Justice league were villains, not heroes ... and not forgetting the earth were the Fantastic Four died horribly of radiation and intestinal mutation afetr their exppsure to cosmic rays ....)

So - on another Earth, almost close enough for us to touch, the Suns didn't sign Grant Hill for $6.5 mil/1 yr, don't sign Telfair for $1.5 (the rumoured amount, right?), deal Pietrus for a 2nd rounder (see, some things stay the same - physics is tricky) and unload VC for the $4mil buyout. In this world we also sign Shannon Brown ... or maybe we don't.

That adds up to $6.5, $1.5, $5.3 and $18 = $33.3 mil, less the VC buyout of $4mil = $29 mil.

That's off the team's total salary this year. Anyone want to check my math - we're talking about an English major who failed grade nine math, twice.

I know we're over the cap so what does this actually net us in real dollars that could be spent?

The reason I ask is because there are moe than several players available that we could really use. Ramon Sessions, for one, would be a very nice backup to Nash.

As GM of this other Earth - Earth P, for Phoenix, a world where things go right for a change - what would you do?
