I'm curious about what the general opinion is about him, does get more minutes? Less minutes? Waived? Traded? What's going to happen to Chilly?

I think he will get 5-10 min behind Hill with Dudley soaking up the additional minutes. His minutes go up if one of our wing guys gets injured. Peaches is the odd man out; hes gonna sit on the bench being all out of shape with his bad knee.

With this schedule he will play 15-20 mpg IMO

We have 96 minutes for 4 guys. They'll figure it out.

Last season, when Childress started getting good minutes I thought he really produced. I like him on our team, reminds me of Shawn Marion. I think he should get decent minutes. I'd like to see him getting 20-25 minutes per game.

He's Grant's backup. Brown is Dudley's backup.
No odd man out that I can see, other than Pietrus, who we'll probably ask to sit home.

The real question is what will the Suns do with Mickael Pietrus ?

I'd rather cut him than having him on the team. But hopefully we can get rid of his salary

I really hope this post is how it plays out

Thing is, if we were a contender, I'd rather have Pietrus right now than Childress. But we're not a contender so I say we get rid of Pietrus asap for anything we can get.
Let childress play we signed him to a big contract so we need him to perform.

Agreed. But we all know that it usually takes the final month or 2 of the season for Gentry to figure out what lineup he likes

Hopefully, however I kind of wanna start Shannon Brown for awhile, see how it goes.

And when we start losing, he says the team needs to play harder. When in reality he simply needs to stop playing Hakim Warrick

Ok, maybe I just hate Hakim Warrick. I even hate how he spells his first name.

He's gonna be a huge key to this team this year. Count on it.

This is how I thought it was going to play out too.

This. We would have made the playoffs no doubt if Gentry would have given him the minutes he deserved all season. He is a hard worker with a great attitude.

With the lack of rest our team will be getting this season, and seeing how Grant is nearly forty, it might be a good thing to have Pietrus and Chilly on the roster.

Pietrus just didn't care. He would take 15 points and a loss over 10 points and a win. It was annoying. Childress on the other hand is the opposite.

Can't put a price on athleticism and energy - I could definitely see him playing some undersized PF in a lineup of Gortat/Childress/Hill/Dudley/Nash
I remember games where he literally came in, snagged offensive rebounds and changed our whole team dynamic instantly - the guy has skills and the write attitude, he's just horrendously overpaid

No empirical data at all to back this up, but I predict Josh Childress and his contract will be viewed...generally... as "a pretty good deal" come April if not sooner.
..I truly feel last year was just a hiccup for Josh.
JChill is an asset
