Wow Clippers are going to dominate.
Paul, Gordon, Butler, Griffin, DeAndre

That's an insane team for Clips...2 perfect veterans added to 3 young guys...eek - now that's a team with a bright future. Hopefully they can't afford them all though and we could make a run at Gordon when he's a FA
I can't believe the sticking point is Eric Bledsoe?

They should just remove Hornets from the NBa since that's what Stern wants anyways.

He had to kill the deal, the other LA deal had more talent going to NOH. However if it went through, I would have guaranteed that the Minny pick would be the number one pick.

unbelievable - what does he want? Durant, Westbrook and OKC's next five first round picks?
edit after latest update:
"The Hornets demanded that both Eric Gordon and the 2012 first round pick from the Timberwolves be included in the Clippers' offer for Chris Paul. Talks broke down after the Clippers said that the Hornets could pick between the two, but that they could not have both.
The Clippers also were offering Chris Kaman and Al-Farouq Aminu."
That's a stiff price but I'd have to consider paying it - what happened to Bledsoe? He was in the deal at last report.
Kaman 13mil expiring, Gordon - potential all-star, Bledsoe - great shooter, small for the 2 slot, coming off injury, Aminu - rookie, 6'8" SF, huge wingspan, exceptional athlete - DraftXpress: biggest selling points have always been his elite physical tools, his strong work ethic, his versatility on both ends of the floor, and his massive upside. Shooting ability is not something many would list among his strengths,
and a first-rounder from Minny via the Clips, in a nice draft class.
CP is what, 23?
Call Kaman cap space, and Aminu a project and you're trading Bledsoe and Gordon and a pick for one of the top 3 PGs in the league. I think you have to do it.

Speaking of Minny, this from Hoopsworld "Secondly, Barea’s signing also would seem to indicate that Luke Ridnour should be on the move soon. While Ridnour is also an above average back-up point guard, one train of thought claims his value may come in packaging him in a trade with Michael Beasley to see what the Timberwolves could get with the two of them together."
Hmmmm - we have a whack of guards now but I like Ridnour as a backup for Nash

From TNT’s David Aldridge:
According to sources, the Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets have had advanced discussions about a trade that would send center Marreese Speights from Philly to Denver for a future second-round pick. However, the trade has not been completed and may not occur, depending on whether the Nuggets are able to retain their free agent center Nene.
Jesu Christos ......

Great. I still wish we'd given him just a little bit of floor time after his time dominating in Poland, but as you guys say we will see soon enough when he tears it up in San Ant.

We must be SA's favorite secret Santa. We gave them Blair, who beasted up, and now watch Lawal capitalize on his work in Poland. If he does, we have to admit that our FO is the worst at evaluating talent.

Spurs practically gave Suns Barbosa - so it balances out at end of the day...

Marreese Speights for a second round ???
Please, give him an oportunity to play with Nash, he can be a great player and fits very well next to Gortat or Frye.

The problem with our roster is that we have two almost useless players. In addition, they play the same position than two more colleagues of them.
So Lawal had to be waived because we already have Frye, Morris and Warrick ahead of him.
It is great that we drafted a 4 three years in a row and we still have 3 more in our current roster.
If two of the three have multi-year contracts, why the hell you select so many fours, when that position is covered and filled with veteran players that earn a lot.

Anyone up for a Suns prediction thread? It'd be a great chance for people to offer their thoughts before the season gets rolling. Games start in under a week.

Speights sucks, he is about as good as Warrick and that is that.

Didn't Sun have a thread about Projected lineups and stats? Wouldn't that be almost the same thing?

Not really the type of prediction I was talking about. I mean wins and losses and where they will finish in the division along with some explanation. Little different I think.
