Just thought it would be good to have a thread to discuss trade ideas and scenarios. I see posters getting upset at trade ideas being thrown into damn near every thread, and im sure that some of the discussions will still lead to trade ideas being in other threads, but this will be our trade idea safe haven.
So..... whats your ideas? Let them flowith!

We need to talk trades with Houston....Lopez, Warrick, Telfair for Courtney Lee, Thabeet and Patrick Patterson?
Then trade Frye to Boston for Bradley, and a 1st rd pick.
Nash, Bradley
Lee, Brown
Hill, Dudley
Morris, Patterson
Gortat, Thabeet
And we'll have TWO first rd picks in the '12 draft along with players who have tremendous potential (Lee, Patterson)

According to sources close to the situation, the Magic will not hold out for youth and draft picks in a potential deal for Dwight Howard.
The Magic would instead prefer to acquire several established players who can keep the team competitive.
Owner Rick De Vos, 85, is believed to have little interest in rebuilding in the wake of Howard's departure.
Nash/Hill/Gortat/Warrick for Howard/Nelson/Clark
Nash/Duhon
Jrich/Redick/Q
Turk/Hill
Anderson/Warrick
Gortat/BigBaby
Nelson/Price/Telfair
Brown/Dudley
Clark/Childress
Morris/Frye
Howard/Lopez

I know, I know, it's sacrilege to talk about trading The Gortat but ... he's exactly what the mavs need. So what do they have that we want?
Just for the sake of killing time before the game ....
and with that said, looking at their roster .... absolutely nothing
GS, on the other hand - Marcin and Hak for Ellis and Tyler - we get a very good shooting guard who can also play the point, if needed, and damn Tyler has looked good the three games I've watched. That's our athletic forward
Now, that leaves them with three centres - we could take Fesenko back, or Kwame. Both one-year contracts for cheap.

Love the idea of trading with HOU, but not that package.
1. They have 3 PG's as it is and will not take Telfair for ANYTHING!
2. We need to get T-Will in ANY Houston deal.
Twill/Thabeet/1st for Lopez/Childress

I disagree with any trade that includes Lopez at this point, and Morris. If you guys have trades keeping them and bringing in Beasley and Mayo I am all for it.
Mayo
Beasley
Morris
Lopez (2012 1st game

)
or something that nets us Perry Jones in the draft.

Lopez is not a Celtic type - Gortat is. They' suggest him instead and I'd ask for more
No way Mem bites on that offer

Yes to that, and I'd really like Goran back ......

If Gortats going anywhere, i would suggest HOU or MIN.
Gortat/Childress for Williams/Hill/Morris/Thabeet/1st.

I agree about not trading Lopez at this point, only because I think we need to build his value more so we can trade him later.

I really fail to see the interest in guys like Randolph, Beasley, Lee and Mayo. More often than not by the end of a players 3rd year you have a pretty solid idea of what they're about and it's unlikely they'll take a major leap after that. Nothing about those players makes me interested in having them aboard for a rebuild.

That's like trading Amare for Childress, Hakim, and Warrick. Do not want.
The second trade I'm definitely fine with.

FO isn't trading Gortat or Nash. I'd like them to explore it but it's not happening... I'd say the chances of Robin getting traded are good. There's always a market for young bigs. If he stays healthy and continues to improve his shot he can net a 1st rounder IMO.
The market for Frye would be good as well but we'll probably keep him.

The Suns just really need a go-to scorer. I love the Gortat, but he isn't an offensive threat. Lopez is in a contract year, and after seeing DeAndre Jordan get a fat contract, I can see other teams offering a contract to Lopez for more than what he's worth. I'd say Lopez has more offensive skills than Gortat, and Gortat has more defensive skills than Lopez. So really, it's a question of what do we need more. Both of these guys want to start, so it makes sense for one of them to possibly be gone next year. For once, the Suns have a problem with the center position that isn't about filling the void, but rather we have too many options for center (Gortat, Lopez, Frye).

Id trade Gortat for Beasley. Assuming Lopez keeps this up.
Beasley is a 20 ppg and 8 rpg player.
Or for Derrick Williams who will be a stud.
If Celtics ring, a three way perhaps so Suns get two first round picks and a young player.

^Exactly. If this is really what Lopez is capable of, then I would want him to stay here. He has developed a decent mid range jumper, and his flat baby hook seems to be effective enough for defense to not just block his shot.
Again Beasley would be able to take some of that load off of Nash, which in turn, would give opportunity to the other players on the team since everyone is a spot up shooter.
Here's another scenario. How about Channing Frye for OJ Mayo? The Grizzlies need a quality backup center/pf, and Frye would bring a lot to their team. I'm actually unsure if I would do this for the Suns because Frye is so versatile and adds a new dimension to our team when he's in. Plus we'd have to stick with Warrick as backup PF.

Twill/Thabeet/1st for Lopez/Childress
Twill is a SF and IMO we need a SG. I know Twill can probably play the 2 but his natural position is SF just like Dudley. He doesn't have much dribble or anything.
Lee is a very intriguing player and I think he's the one we need to go after.

Suns losing Frye makes them worse than Raptors and on par with Cavs.
Favorites for top 3 pick. This could be the suns greatest tactic, get a new franchise player, sign 2 new stars, have youth around Nash. Suns potential new Spurs '98 move, back in playoffs within a season.

Spurs didn't just make the playoffs within a season, they won the championship, lol.
