Would you do Steve Nash for Steve Nash? It works in the trade machine.

If we trade some other assets, perhaps childress+filler and a pick, we could get another Steve Nash for the bench.

I think we'd have to throw in a pick before we even considered it.

Exactly - we'd have to work it so that it's protected in such a way that while we never actually get it, we still lose the pick.

I'd consider Steve Nash + Phoenix's second round pick, for Steve Nash + Phoenix's 1st (top 8 protected) and cash considerations.

We don't have our second this year, it goes to either ATL or CHI for either Warrick or Chilldress. Forgot which though.

I'd trade Nash for Gortat and our 2013 First. Imagine this lineup

Nash/Nash
Dudley/Brown/Redd
Hill/Childress
Morris/Warrick
Lopez/Frye

We'd finally have a reliable backup for Nash that could play an up-tempo system with our bench mob. Immediately cut Price and Telfair. Not sure how Nash would like coming off the bench.

we finally get a legit center and you want to trade him!? no way...

i have an inside source. according to that source (which i cant reveal), the deal is to wait a couple more weeks and see where our record is... then, we might trade off nash and hill for nash, an expiring, and a future 2nd. Then, with the cap space next year... we are going to make a run at a big name FA, and hope to bring former nash back along with Hill on home-town discounted contracts.
