this guy needs to be coming off the bench. he is not a starter.
what happened to him this offseason? anyone else think he looks worse?
from all his tweets about being in the gym, i cant tell a difference.

When you lack talent as a team, players are forced into roles they shouldn't be in. Dudley, Hill, and Frye aren't starters, but are forced to start because they are the best at that position on the team. (or in Frye's case, he starts because him and Gentry are in love with each other.)

I know this absolutely helps nothing but man if this team just had Amar'e instead of Childress, Warrick, and Frye we'd be a contender.

Amare had six points and three rebounds tonight, and was abused by Gasol. I'll pass on Amare and his fear of contact. I'm not saying I would rather keep the three mentioned, but would have rather went after Lee or Scola and re-signed Frye. That way we would have kept both our second rounders we wasted on Warrick and Chilldress, and used those picks to get some younger guys in here. We would have a good second rounder this coming draft if we weren't so stupid.

I wont go there... and I hate going here.... but having Goran and a dude like Marshon Brooks would have given us a bona fied youth movement, rather than a proving ground for borderline NBA-ers ... ie. Brown, Telfair, Price...
Damn I hate that trade more than any.......
(sorry to retread that dread JVC)

Agree 100%.
And to bring it back to JMZ, I don't know if it's a confidence problem or what, but he seemed to have no interest in taking a set shot last night. He had a couple of drives, which I don't mind, but mostly he would just swing the ball immediately like it was a hot potato. The problem is, he was usually more open than the man he was swinging it to. Jared, you're a good catch-and-shoot shooter. If you've got some space when you catch the ball, go ahead and put it up!

Duds is a great guy to have here but both he and Frye are having miserable seasons/shooting slumps. Both work their asses off - did you see Frye on LA last night? He was doing everything right on defense, when he had him. Frye will shoot himself into a hot spell but Duds appears to have lost confidence in his shot.
I think a big part of it is guys are not getting the ball where they normally get it or when they would normally get it - doens't take much to throw a shooter's rhythm off, so add the two together ...
he needs to be SF off the bench, and not playing SG, we all know this, but we still have too many SFs.
