Watching the Suns now is like...

This is a thread for metaphors. How do you compare it?
For me:
Watching the Suns is like watching your favorite rock band 30 years past their prime, with most of the band replaced, in Vegas, for $4 tickets in the afternoon on a weekday. You can't decide if you or the band is more desperate to get drunk immediately.

I was going to say it's like watching Fat Elvis, but you kind of covered that.

Agreed, hence the constant push to rebuild.
Nash era has been milked far beyond milking capacity.

Interesting thing to think about...let's say that Sarver matched NYK's offer, and let's say Amare wanted to stay here(I don't think he did, but lets' just roll with it). We still trade LB for Hedo(since LB asked out b/c Dragon took his minutes), we keep Lou...this is what we roll with:
Nash/Dragon
Rich/Dudley
Hill/Hedo
Amare/Lou
Frye/?
I don't count Lopez in that rotation because dude was injured and a non-factor. Could that team have made a deep postseason run? What do you guys think?

Watching the Suns now is like going to Vegas and watching Louie Anderson live at the Palace Station. Forget the hot nightclubs, Cosmopolitan, Wynn beach club, Cirque Du Soleil shows, or fine dinning.
What's better than booking a weekend at the old dive Palace Station - where the smell of 1970's cigarettes meets cheap lady perfume and overly embellished outdated floral carpet - to watch a below average overweight comedian of the 1990s make fun of himself. Ahh the good old Palace Station.
Can't wait for Nash/Hill and company to leave town. Time for new fire...The old casinos must be torn down. The new trendy stuff is what's hot...

I would have rather done a Lee sign and trade with NY done the ORL trade and gone with a:
Nash/Goran
Dudley/Pietrus
Hill/VC
Lee/Lou
Gortat/Frye

It's like driving around the block trying to find somewhere to fill up. It's on empty, and has been for months, but every so often it sputters, then stops. Then it goes down a slight hill and gets a little further down the road...
But you still can't see the gas station.

David Lee Roth (Nash) after he went solo. You just CAN'T do it all by yourself, and things can get ugly.

Buying a plane ticket to Korea, and when you get off the plane you realise you're in the wrong Korea.

It's kind of like loving someone who loves you only for the money, and every time you talk to him/her about his/her future he/she brushes it off because if he/she actually starts looking for a job to support him/herself, he/she can no longer milk you for the money and take the easy way out.
Plus, the sex really sucks.
