Buying suns tickets

Post#1 » by lonea » Mon Jan 16, 2012 9:11 pm

I will be going to Phoenix from Canada for a Lakers-Suns game in Feb but the ticket prices had increased significantly for it's rivalry.

Been searching online and most decent tickets (lower level) are at least $250.

I'm wondering what are the chances of getting a more reasonable priced tickets on gameday ? If not, is stubhub my best option ?

Just go to the arena, and if you wait until after tip off, you can get really good deals on tix from scalpers, because they will not want to be stuck holding a bunch of tickets.

Agreed that this is your best bet for finding the cheapest tickets.

I don't know if this problem exists there but when I lived in Atlanta there was a huge influx of fake ticket scalpers for Falcons and Hawks games. So make sure to really inspect the tickets - also it's safer to get them from a scalper who has actual team tickets as opposed to Ticketmaster, etc tickets. Harder to counterfeit. Another thing you can do if you're with someone is wait with the scalper while your friend takes one of the tickets and get into the arena, then pay the scalper and take the other ticket.

Anyway I don't even know if this is a problem in Phoenix, just thought it was worth mentioning since I didn't know about the risk and ended up with a $140 fake Falcons ticket.

If you buy tickets off scalpers you should ask them to come to the front lobby of the arena and meet at the box office to validate them. You don't need a ticket to walk into the arena from the main entrance. My buddy was scammed around $600-$700 on Suns/Lakers tickets a couple years ago when he bought some for himself and the rest of the family.

Or go to the Suns website, and under where you can buy tickets go to the Suns Ticket Exchange. I got 2nd row seats on the lower level for the Bucks game last week for just 50 bucks a piece. Ticket Exchange is basically season ticket holders or other people with tickets who wont be attending so they put them up for sale for cheap just to get rid of them.

I was at the Bucks game and hopefully you might of heard me give Lopez a peace of my mind about spending less time reading comic books and more time learning how to box out

Be ready to be surrounded by a bunch of purple and gold Kobe Beef jerseys. There will be more Lakers fans at the game than Suns fans. It really sucks.

Thanks for the advise ppl.

I'm gonna check out the ticket exchange and suns.com. If nothing comes up then I'll just grab the tickets from suns.com or stubhub.

It'll be a once a year trip, don't want to let the possibility of fake tickets/late to the game to ruin the trip.

Thanks again

What do you guys think about section 106 ?

I was checking the approximate view on http://www.bargainseatsonline.com/17908 ... les-Lakers and the seats don't look too bad if it is the lower rows.

106 is a good spot, its by the tunnel that the Suns come out of.

Stay away from the arena Wanger... you are not in the correct state of mind to submit yourself to a fLaker/Sun bout. Just go find your happy place that night, a nice cup of tea, and some lavern and shirley reruns.

I have purchased tickets from TicketExperts.com and have gotten good deals. It's been over a year since my last purchase there though.

So will be in Phoenix this weekend. Looking to get a keef swingman jersey, which mall should I goto for that ?

Last year I bought a dudley swingman from the arena, but the letters aren't sewn on. So looking for a legit swingman if I'm paying the same price.
