How many wins do you think Aaron Brooks cost us?

Just curious what people think. Honestly, watching us build a lead with starters and watch it evaporate in no time with bench players (but I feel this is in large part to our pg backup) makes me wonder how we would be doing had Aaron Brooks been here.
Before he went to China, I felt he would really thrive in our offensive system with new players (understandable he wasn't good all the time immediately after changing teams mid-season...pg has to be the toughest position to adapt quickly to new system since you really need to learn the rest of the players' tendencies.)
I've got to think he would have been good for AT LEAST 2-3 more wins...probably more. Just three more wins would have us at 18-17, a half game out of the 8th spot.
It was really unfortunate he had to go to China at the last minute before the season began. I guess the only silver lining might be if we end up winning the lottery and getting Davis...or if Brad Beal (or MKG if he comes out) drop to us.

Depends on how you look at it.
Brooks cost us about 5 wins with him in China.
Brooks trade cost us about 8-10 wins. Dragic would have been beasting.

^Dragic would have definitely been beasting... with the right bench. I think Dragic with Morris and maybe even Lopez would have been fun to watch. Or a complete disaster.

I like the Suns, but I'd have it if Brad Beal were even in the draft to begin with...hope he stays where he's at for a long while...

Great question. How much better would his individual performance at backup PG given us? Also, how much better would he have made the rest of our bench?
I dare say we'd be pushing for playoffs with him. But I am the eternal optimist..

Well he'd be infinitely better than Telfair. Since apparently our bench is the biggest weakness, his absence probably has us a few wins under where we could've been. I'm not gonna blame him for going to play in China though.

Well that is a tough question to answer. And which year? Last year he may have cost us some games as well.
As for the Goran beasting, he could have played just as poorly as he did before we traded him. But, if we had kept the pick, Marshon Brooks would have been beasting next to Nash. Then we could have ran Nash, Hill and Gortat with the two rookies, and had a bench similar to the one Goran had in 2010, minus Lou and LB. but we could have traded Lopez for Lou, and then the only difference would be LB.
We would have lost the scorer from the bench, but with Chilldress and Lou, we would get every 50/50 ball, and tons of second chances for Frye and Dudley. The starting unit would have all the vets needed along with the youth. But then all you tankers would be so bummed.

I would have been glued to my chair watching that team - losing that Marshon B pick after the two KT ones just about killed me.

Why in the hell did the Suns trade Dragic for Brooks in the first place?

That's a pretty good question, assuming you're talking bout Dragic. The whole fanbase was (is) pretty much heartbroken that he left.

There's a few of us who are still mourning but a lot of people here had given up on him - I've watched a lot of Houston games on LP and if he were playing starter minutes, he'd be putting up good numbers.

Why is everyone so high on Dragic? Not like he was tearing it up when he left and has not been tearing it up since he did.

I'd build a bronze statue of him just for that dagger in the chest he threw at SanAnt.
If you need an answer to that question... tune in now and watch what we have coming off the bench. No further explanation is needed.

All hurts. The pick, and the man himself. The man who singlehandedly killed our arch-nemesis in a playoff game. The man who showed shadows of Steve Nash in his game. The man who at times was a shadow of Manu Ginobilli. The man who, had the entire love of the fanbase.
I would rather have Goran Dragic with a cut foot running the second unit than Sebastian "Sunday-Morning-Stroll" Telfair.

This. Right there.
I'd rather have GD, drunk, in his bathrobe, with a cut foot and some bar trash chick crying in the bathroom, than Sebastian Telfair on the best day of his life.

I don't blame Brooks as much as I blame Gentry. We have a decent backup PG riding the bench in Price. Why the hell not use them? Alvin can't possibly think Telfair at PG is working, right?

Brooks > Dragic
Dragic was with suns since rookie year! Brooks was on Suns half the season
BROOKS has done more in the NBA then Dragic ever will!
sorry to say but I love Dragic but I like brooks as well.
The dagger in the heart was the 1st round pick!!!
