New Suns blog and news site

Kerrsed, Los Soles and I have started a site called From-Ashes where we can write and post stuff - also allows for some content that would not be suitable here ... No, not that.

We welcome you all if you want to check it out, and suggestions for stories or improvements are encouraged.

I'd also like to feature some quotes from the board when someone gets a good one off - I figure I will just ask individually when that occurs.

address is

from-ashes.com

Great stuff. A trio of my favorite posters coming together to create a Suns blog; can't see anything wrong with that formula. If only I had more time to read all the columns.

Keep it up guys!

You really all need to keep up with JVC's Clip Joint. He finds the most hilarious/ridiculous sh*t.

Love the site guys, and thanks for the quote love. Now all we need is a picture from Kerrsed with me actually following through with my plan. :D

Great stuff there, and it is also neat to put a face with the words, you mean to tell me that Kerrsed doesn't look like Tom Cruise from Risky Business?

I would love to help out any way that I can, but not sure any of my ideas for how to raise the Suns from ashes are worthy of your site.

The only guy with any graphics skill is Kerrsed and we work him like a rented mule, so - yeah.

I think the core group is gonna stay at 3, just because the whole thing is clunky enough as is. (Although we may hire out more artist-mules.) It's just that it's already incredibly difficult to make democratic decisions via email--we're not a dictatorship. (Hey wait...Kerrsed and JVC...are we a dictatorship?? Email me your thoughts on that one. If we are, who's the dictator? And does he have absolute power? Can he behead people? Like, could he behead Sebastian Telfair?) See what I mean? Clunky.

The origins of the site: John and I are both "writers" (much looser sense of the word in my case), and we both independently thought of combining forces for this blog. We brought in Kerrsed because of how ridiculously unique and creative he is. In the process, we realize we left out a lot of brilliant basketball minds/writers/thinkers/sh*t-talkers from this board. I wouldn't know how to begin to filter y'all, which is why it's probably gonna stay at 3 as the official core group (at least for now).

Now, I definitely want to find a way to bring in some contributions. Multiple ways to do this. One idea: something like a weekly guest column. My idea is to have people pitch ideas on a thread on here, and then we'll pick from those. The winner writes/photoshops/video-edits/whatever and we slap it on the site.

Sound good?

I think it would be nice if the blog (and this board) had a contributor who is knowledgable of the CBA and salary cap.

So much of what happens in signing or trading for new talent is dictated by the newly signed CBA or Suns position with respect to the salary cap.

I'm not sure who on the board is knowledgable enough to fulfill this role, but I' sure someone will surface.

just a thought.
