Anyone know when Brooks is eligible to return and what the Suns plan to do with him? He would be a great fill-in for games like this when Nash is taking the night off

His team has won their conference and will be going to the finals. They are waiting for the other conference to determine their champion. If I am not mistaken the Finals should be starting soon. Brooks team has won the championship something like 4 years in a row.

they are the old time Boston Celtics of the CBA.

Does Brooks start on his CBA team? Is he on the same team as Marbury who is supposedly lighting it up in China.

Brooks is a 6th man and never starts. They already have a starting point guard. The other American is James Singleton (former Clipper/Wizard). He is the starting small forward. Here's the info page: http://www.asia-basket.com/team.asp?Cntry=CHN&Team=1943

The championship is end of the week and so you'll have some kind of resolution in a week or two. I'm almost certain he will just rest it out and decide his future during the NBA offseason. I doubt he comes over here immediately in a few weeks.

And here's a video of a game from December. Patty Mills is the starting point guard on the opposing club. Aaron Brooks comes off the bench later.

Note the AWFUL shot he throws up at 15:57.

TheMan 44 is this a bashing brooks video or something.

He is scoring over 20 ppg and 5 apg and 5 rpg in low minutes! shooting something like 60%

if he comes to the suns he should be the 3rd scoring option

Its not even D-League quality to be honest, watching some of their games is just brutal. I wouldn't even begin to try to rationalize that Brooks will put up anything similar once he comes back to the NBA (if he even comes back to the Suns this season anyways)

What is his contract status? I thought the Suns had qualified him, which essentialy gives them a right to match any offer?
If they're not going to bring him back they should at least try to trade him for some water bottles. It would really suck if we gave up Goran and a pick for two months of middling play

If we sign him this season we only get him for the remainder of the season and he will become a UFA in July. If we don't sign him this season he cannot sign anywhere else this season and is a RFA this offseason although we could not so a sign and trade deal since he didn't finish season on our roster..

Basically, the only way I see the suns signing him this season is if it is a multi-year deal.

I just read that Wilson Chandler signed for 35 mil for 5 yrs.. 7 mil for Brooks is not bad IMO.

It's more like 34 for 4 because the deal is $37M for the rest of this year and four more.

Brooks team lost Game 1 of the CBA Finals today. Aaron scored 36 points and 5 rebounds for the losing Gaundong Tigers. Brooks was also 13 for 13 on free throws.

This is 7 game series.
