I just heard a few minutes ago and was gonna start a thread.

Hilarious he said that. I wouldn't mind him in a suns uniform but it would have to be for cheap and I have no idea how it would work with the money side of things.

I feel for Portland man... they just can't catch a break. Definitely messed up of Crawford to say it in this situation. :nonono:

At this point, I'd rather have Shannon Brown. They have the same kind of role, don't they?

If we spend good money on Crawford I'm not gonna be very happy.

There are other ways to communicate that message - That don't include looking like a tool in front of your teammates...

Everyone wants out of Portland. Thats where your career ends. Not from retirement, but from injury.

I would take him for no more than 5 mil. He can also handle the ball.

I wouldnt mind seeing this

nash
crawford
G.Wallace
Perry Jones
Gortat

bench

telfair
dudley
hill
morris
frye

We do need players that get fouled on a 3 point shot. Frye could learn a thing or two.

Give him 2yrs $10m, let him go nuts as the SG bench role scorer/spot starter at guard

Crawford/Brown could split time and that'd be a pretty good 2 guard situation if we strike out on Gordon. Nothing more than 4-5 mil per year, though.

Let's hope better players share his enthusiasm this summer.

Just don't know about Crawford. The dude seems like he is always looking for the big payday, and usually has to come off the bench because his game is so one sided. Although it is always good to pick up a guy, who kills it against your team. :D Don't we have enough guys getting paid too much to come off the bench?

Let's find a starting two guard first. If we can luck out and draft a good SG, pick up Crawford for the bench. Or maybe we can outbid Memphis for Mayo.

But I do like possible FAs stating that they want to play in PHX. :D

Only way i think we should go after Crawford is to do something like this THIS and put defenders and rebounders around Nash/Crawford.

I wanted Crawford last offseason, to hear that he wants to come here is pretty good, he would fit in perfectly with our style and like others have mentioned he can create his own shot, a lot better than Shannon Brown. His clutch factor is huge too. I definitely wouldn't mind a deal of 11mil/2 years.

Just read your scenario Kerrsed, pretty dang good. Roy doesn't fit in with us though, I thought he likes to slow the pace, do not want. But Gerald Wallace is another guy I thought would fit in nicely with the Suns, great defender and he could have the same type of role Marion had with us. Even with Garnett though we still would need a low-post presence offensively, which is what would kills us in the playoffs.

Don't want him. He'd be taking minutes away from whomever we draft. I'm sick of one dimensional players. Get me someone that can play defense and rebounds.

I still would like Dudley to start, in most situations. Mostly because Crawford would be a huge boost off the bench, and would be a pivotal part to how we conduct our offense fluidly throughout the game.

Where's the future in that team? It's not championship material, and in 2-3 years half the starting lineup will be retired. and did I see Brandon Roy in there?

I have to agree here. Crawford is not a starting caliber shooting guard and I'd rather see our possible rookie shooting guard share some minutes with Michael Redd instead of Crawford. If we draft another big man or a point guard, it would be another situation. I don't want to give Crawford more than a one year deal, though.

Crawford can be a masterpiece in all contending teams, with a role like Jet Terry's in Dallas. Nice idea for a similar-to-Dudley's-contract.

i would be up for him to play on the suns we need a shooter and a scorer.

i would take him and draft a SF Perry Jones or Terrence Jones

I would still try and get Mayo for free agency and have Crawford as 6th man

nash, telfair
mayo, crawford (6th man)
Jones or Jones III, Dudley (let hill retire)
Morris, Frye
Gortat, Lopez (dont match too much) if his price is high offer Speights

this would be a good team with an explosive bench

I told myself I would stop being a Suns fan if I ever saw Kevin Garnett in a Suns uniform. Change Garnett with someone else and I'm very interested.
