Oh no. But he was doing such a great job developing Robin Lopez's refined post game....

Cartwright was hired by then-General Manager Steve Kerr, a former teammate, and then-coach Terry Porter in 2008 to help Amar'e Stoudemire's defense, rebounding and post-up game.

OK...

Boy that's a lose!! He accomplished more here by leaving then he did during his whole time here. What a waste of a paycheck!!

They should hire Kurt Thomas. He is probably the most fundamentally sound big man to play in the NBA in the last 20 years outside of Tim Duncan.

I say throw some money at The Dream. See how much it would cost to bring him in as an assistant and to work with our bigs exclusively and daily. If he's not available, try Jack Sikma. He already has a relationship with Elston Turner from their time together in Houston.

I agree with kerrsed! Definitely would be awesome.Just imagine IF we could somehow get drummond, And have him work with olajuwan? Or even gortat and lopez to put some time in with him as well!

And if worse comes to worse and he's not available, Then we just have "Big Jake" tsakalidas come and drop some knowledge on our bigs!

Kerrsed, only if we get a center worth developing (Drummond).

Finally getting rid of the last of kerr's mistakes. Bill cart is another shining example of how bad Kerr was as a gm!

I honestly forgot he was coaching here. I guess that sums up his impact.

I would love to have Hak step in as our bigs coach. In my dream coaching world, I had him and Kareem at my top bigs coach list. I am just not sure we could get them. :( Add Hornacek to my dream list of coaches.

Kareem would be horrible. Good player but no one has ever been interested in him as a coach. Hak would be great but his loyalties to Houston would probably hinder. Bring in KT.

His whole time here, I have no idea what he did and what he's achieved. He was brought in to help Lopez and he still stinks.

It'll never happen. Hakeem has for YEARS made it clear that he likes tutoring in the summer, but wants nothing to do with coaching from the bench.

Sikma would be interesting. Kareem, yeah, I second the idea that he's a ne-ne.

Rony Seikaly. He's the perfect man for the bigs like Gortat...
