Interior D and Perimeter Offense

Phoenix is looking to add a strong perimeter player who can generate offense or an interior presence to provide defensive support.

"If I'm reading the internet right, there will be a lot of guys there available that can help us," general manager Lance Blanks said. "I think, by the pool of players (available), we will get a very good player at that pick, ideally on the perimeter or the interior. I think there will be both there."

Blanks said the Suns are open to drafting a player who can make an immediate impact or one who might have more upside but need a few years to develop.

"Hopefully (it) is a player who is not finished growing, but hopefully he can impact this roster next year," he said. "Part of that will be on him, and part of that will be on us."

Should Pheniox go after Eric Gordon and Serge Ibaka ?
To complete cap space for the 2, don't resign Nash n Hill, then draft Marshall
OKC most likely will try to resign Harden before Serge..

5.Gortat/Frye
4.Ibaka/Morris/Warrick
3.Dudely/
2.Gordon/Redd
1.Marshall*/Telfair

There has been a lot of speculation on this board on Phoenix' ability to get Eric Gordon. Suns are reportedly interested in him, but most believe NO will match any offers up to max for Gordon. I don't think Gordon will get a max offer, but he is going to get paid a lot of money regardless. Is it worth it for a 6' 3" SG who is hurt a lot? I would rather spend $2M and draft rookie Terrence Ross (or Jeremy Lamb) and use the cap flexibility that gives you to fill out the roster.

Serge Ibaka - I like him a lot and the Suns might make a play for him. However Suns run a PnR based system that needs floor spacing to succede. Unless Ibaka became the PnR focus, he would not be an ideal fit as he can't space the floor since he doesn't have much of an outside shot. Don't get me wrong, I love his shot blocking and the intimidation he brings is something the Suns could use.

no way Ibaka is leaving the thunder. I think the suns have a better shot at trying to get josh smith. I think Austin rivers may help with the perimeter offense.

I would love the scenario of getting Gordon, Ibaka, and Marshall. The problem is that I would not overpay to get Gordon and Ibaka which means Gordon will be a Hornet at the start of next season. If a team throws the max at him then they are handcuffing themselves for a while.

Ibaka can be easily got because there is no way that OKC can pay to retain him. Also, Ibaka has been developing a nice mid-range shot that will continue to get more dangerous as he gets older. I would LOVE to have him on the team.

Easily, I'd trade for bostons' 2 picks And take both kyle o'quinn, And wroten! (I'd of course sign ray allen) And have him work with wroten on his shooting and free throws!!! To get his shot up to par for where it needs to be! And before I forget, at #13- I'd take ross first or IF he's not available,I'd then take rivers for isolation and scoring potential. So essentially, Our draft could look like this: (barring no trades of course!)

#13- Terrence ross/ rivers.

#21-wroten
#23-kyle o'quinn. A low cost, Highly defensive young rookie unit! With some scoring of course too!

* JLamb, if available at #13.
* Fab Melo.
* Any of 2nd string SF in this draftclass.
Point.

I'd offer Harden near max, because he's something special, but that's just me. Ibaka is a decent consolation prize though. Can OKC even keep all three if they all get max/near max deals? Even without thinking about Ibaka's contract...
