Steve Nash was hated by fans when he was drafted as well.

We havent seen him play in the NBA.

But he was great in college.

One of the best PG's in the draft.

Steve Nash is leaving.

Marshall will play well with Gortat....This will be beneficial for both players.

And if you dont like Marshall...And you have been complaining...Go find a new team.

I have always loved the Suns for their character. And its sad to see such lack of character from the fans.

And if Marshall turns out to be a good player in the NBA... I never want to see you make any predictions again. I better not see you complain about anybody.

Holy god man get off your high horse - people are entitled to their opinion. We didn't like the pick and we're sharing it with fellow Suns fans - some who like the pick, others who don't.

It's not a lack of respect, it's a frustration with Suns draft days that dates back YEARS for most of us

They don't have to play in the NBA to be able to determine how good of a player they are. So are you saying no matter who we draft no matter how much of a reach we can't criticize because they haven't played in the nba yet?

I think the pick was probably the best they could do given the situation (outside of a trade). Its disrespectful telling fans to go find another team because they don't share your opinion. Go find another teams dick to ride you tool.

Seriously Dragic, stop your whining. Suns fans are like any basketball fans. Were not "special" or more respectable then other teams fans. There are respectful ones and haters as with any team.

Now onto the issue. Im guessing you must be around 14-17 years old,correct?

I guarentee I have followed the Suns much longer than you have and I cant say enough about how much we blew this draft. As a college player, I wasnt even high on Marshall. As a pro, im even less convinced he can become anything better than a decent backup.

That is my opinion ya see? Your opinion is he will be great and everyone else should think so.
Well sorry buddy, Im not betting on it and I think I (along with every fan) has the right to be tired of our front office, and how they mismanage every single draft since the day we drafted Amare.

Does this make me less of a fan? Not at all. Just dont agree with the pick and it irritates me a lot.
If you like Marshall, great, but dont rag on others who arent as easily pleased with this extremally boring, low upside pick.

Evan Fournier, Royce White, PJ3, Moe Harkless, Jeff Teague etc.

I wouldn't have been this upset had they taken Moultrie instead!

Marshall on a top 5 team in the toughest conference etc shot 46.7% on fg and 35% on 3s, ft% at just under 70%
Nash in his senior year at Santa Clara went 43% fg 34% on 3s and 89% on ft...

Took Nash 3yrs to average 5asst per...I could see Marshall doing 8-7 if given the lion's share of mins next year. We'd be horrible to watch, but he'd learn on the job. I feel like I'm defending someone I still am not close to being happy with as our lottery pick...But trying to make the best of our a horrendously bad (the Suns and their current cap situation/talent level/assets etc) situation...

Those stats are very misleading. I have seen Marshall play and teams dare him to shoot. His % is good because he doesn't shoot much and gets mostly gets layups. His 3pt shooting is decent because he barely shoots and even when he does, he has to be wide wide wide wide open. Rondo is a career FG % is 45%, but that doesn't mean he's a good shooter does it?

Same thing with Nash. Nash took more shots, and teams defended his shots at Santa Clara. Plus he played for Santa freaking Clara so he had to take a majority of the shots since the rest of the players there weren't very good.
