This franchise makes absolutely no sense (what's new)

If the offer to Eric Gordon is true i appalaud this disgraceful failure of a front office for actually attempting to do SOMETHING for once. But this is not even a great move as Gordon is not worth the max but u gota overpay for talents like him sometimes. However the part that baffles me the most, is that even if New Orleans doesnt match (i think they will though), that leaves our team with one good player and 11 role players/scrubs. That will again leave us with a team too good to get a good draft pick, and maybe make playoffs and swept first round, same garbage position we have been last 2 years (thank you sarver).
So my point is, if you are going for Gordon then RE-SIGN NASH AND CONTEND!!!!!! What the hell is this bs sarver is just happy to make playoffs i know, but pay nash his money and contend for the title again and let marshall develop and learn from the best pg in the game for 2-3 years!! My mind has been baffled so many times by this front office that i have no brain cells left
Nash/Marshall
Gordon/Childress
Dudley/Hill
Kieff/Warrick
Gortat/Frye
i could actually be able to watch this team again without having my eyes melt off my face

Unfortunately that line-up is not a contender.

phungk- i disagree, they now have the shooting guard they've been desperately looking for, now have a backup pg that can actually prevent the second unit from getting outscored by 20 every game, and nash can make a bag of peanuts win 20 games, so sign another solid free agent or two and we are right there

lol no we're not.
EG's not that great. Maybe if he really were Dwade. But he's not.
edit: still a good piece and still want us to get him if we can.

I like how people get all freaked out over offering the max to someone.
You do realize that the max under the new CBA is not that big of a contract right? Under the old CBA, yes offering someone the max was a big deal because it was like a 6 year $18M+ deal but now its almost half of that in terms of years and the money is also less.

Good thread!!! 10/10. Eric Gordan is an overhyped version of BEN Gordan. To short to
Be effective come playoff time. He reeks regular season star nothing else. I'll pass and take on oJ Mayo.
I love when people express this frustration with this new front office. (by the way when I say new front office I'm dating back to 2005). It's the truth. Signing Gordan to a max contract is going to be the same as when they signed chilly. Two years down the line they will be stuck with a massive contract with no one to take him off their hands.
I'm done with people trying to church up the current suns organization.

It's kind of shocking how many people don't know how to spell Gordon.

We have too many holes in our roster and not enough decent free agents (ones willing to come to Phoenix) to plug them all.
Unless we pull off a miracle and somehow bring in Dwight and resign Nash, I might see that.

There really isn't anything the Suns can do to become a contender this season. Resigning Nash, trading for D12, signing Crawford and Gordon (as if all that were possible) and surrounding them with scrubs would still make the Suns a second round (maybe WCF) exit.
