I am watching the USA Basketball selection show and I see Jerry Colangelo on there. I miss that guy so much. He has to be one of the better owners of any franchise ever. It's a damn shame he's gone.

I wish he could buy the team back :(

We never won a championship under Jerry Colangelo and only been to the finals twice in 50 years. Now thinks bout that. Do you still miss him?

I guess on the surface he seems like he was a good owner, but he put the team in so much debt, that it equalled it's worth. He had to be so happy that he found a sucker like Sarver.

JC had some equally crappy trades and stupid moves. I think many forget the DJ for Robey trade.

I think it's unfair to discredit what Bryan Colangelo accomplished; just because his Dad owned the team when he was here. In my opinion it was BC that brought together our best team. I know people love the 90s team because of the Championship run; but I really think that our best combination of talent was the 04 team with Amare, Steve, JJ, Q and Matrix. In my opinion it's a shame that team was not kept together, and yeah that's when the Sarver blame begins since he refused to sign JJ when JJ would have been a 5 year 45 million dollar player. That followed by the worst luck ever with JJ breaking his face and that was it for our window. Yeah we got close a couple other times but to me that team was the talented one, the one with enough to go all the way.

Yes. And I don't even have to think about it. JC was an incredible honor and is the reason the Suns were one of the most respected(not to mention successful) franchises in the NBA.

Ding Ding Ding.

Jerry Colangelo was one of the most respected men in basketball. He may have made some bad trades, but he never got hustled like the Suns have been hustled lately. He was a much better negotiator and leader then Sarver and the current staff.

The Suns are no longer respected as a franchise and the word is out on the streets that we are WEAK when it comes to trade negotiations.

Under Colangelo, players wanted to come here because of the weather, the respect of the suns, and the commitment to excellence the Colangelos displayed. Players knew that the owner would honor his word and do the right thing? Remember when Danny Manning signed a 1 year 1 million dollar year with the "handshake" of a juicy deal once we had his bird rights? Manning blew out his knee that year and Jerry STILL gave him the deal he had promised him. Do you have any idea what this did for the Suns? Players FOUGHT to come here and play for the organization.

The weather and Steve Nash have been our only attraction lately and now Nash is gone. :(

You do realize that the car in your sig is a Mercedes, not a BMW right? Unless the BMW is meant to mean something else :S

I think Babby and Blanks have done well so far. They did a lot to bring back some respect for the franchise after the classiness of dealing Nash to the Lakers because he wanted it.

I am aware. I'm a BMW guy. But I also respect Mercedes...especially the SL65. I asked Kerrsed for a signature including the Suns logo, Young Jeezy, and an SL65. I didn't think he would do it. He did. LOL.

Man I forgot about that! Really confirms why I am done with the Suns. Sarver is just different, and in a really bad way.
