Question regarding our new players..

I've seen that a couple of teams like Lakers, Celtics, etc etc showing their new players in some kind of press conference..
So I have two questions,
Whether Dragic\Beasley\Scola actually signed their contract with the Suns and things are done?
And the other question is whether there's going to be a press conference introducing our new players?

I asked the same thing in another thread, unfortunately I did not get an answer.

I'm sure there will be. There was one for Marshall. Not sure why there hasn't been any for the other guys, though they haven't all officially signed yet as far as I know (though I think Scola is automatic once we won the bid for him.) I think they will probably just wait and do one for all of our new players at once.

Beasley and Dragic are not signed yet. There are some issues related to Lopez, Redd and even Eric Gordon still on the table.

From a post from Bright Side of the Suns:

Right now, if you include all the cap holds, the Suns are right at the cap. Yet they were able to make an amnesty claim on Scola, which is only available to teams under the cap. It is possible the Suns have renounced someone's cap hold without making a press release, but that's unknown at this time. Maybe cap holds don't count on amnesty bids.

Phoenix cannot do anything until Gordon passes his physical in New Orleans. This is one of the reasons Beasley and Dragic have not signed yet. To sign these new players, the Suns will have to get rid of the cap holds on Lopez ($7.2) and Brown ($4.2), not to mention Price and Redd ($0.9 million each) which are taking up about $13 million in cap space.

One way for these cap holds to be erased is if the Suns simply renounce the player's rights. Another is if the player signs a new contract, either with the Suns or another team.

Scola is in Spain, then London for the olympics. He is a Sun already though. Dragic is in Phoenix today. He flew there this morning.

Don't know about Beasley.

How long does it take New Orleans to do a physical? :-?

Ya it's because our cap is tied up in Cap Holds and in the Eric Gordon offer sheet. Once Lopez signs(anywhere) his cap hold will come off our books and once Gordon passes his physical with the Hornets he will come off our books.

I wonder, are the Hornets dragging their feet because they are bitter about what Gordon said about wanting to be here?

Aren't there rules on how long a team can take on doing a damn physical?

How the hell is this fair to the Suns for the Hornets to take weeks doing a stupid physical which normally should take max 3 hours.

The only good thing about it is that I guess that is why Phx was forced to amnesty Childress or they wouldn't have been able to make a bid for Scola.

Why are people calling us the Houston Rockets when we only have two players from their team which are Dragic and Scola?

It was mostly a joke, since we are/possibly might be targeting Lee also

Soooo...if Eric Gordon FAILS his physical, we could say 'we don't care', and accept him? I highly doubt NOR would 'fail' him unless he had an extremely bad injury

Wouldn't he fail his physical since his heart is still in Phoenix? I don't remember ever hearing anything about him coming back to get it.

And I would say, in your words, that its an "extremely bad" problem.

Yes. He can fail and come to Phoenix. But that is just 100x more unlikely than he being signed without NOH matching, and that was already very unlikely.

So a press conference in about 5 minutes?
