Ordinarily I'd say he's free for a bag of pinecones and we'll supply the bag...but I'm not sold on Marshall getting 12-15mins every night yet

Make an offer though

That's tough to gauge at this point. Gentry sure seemed to like him, even when he sucked terribly, so unless Marshall just blows everyone away with work he does in the next few months, Bassy will still have a place in our roster.

But it is also tough, when an offer isn't made to us, to let you know what we (who have zero say in basketball opperations) would want for him. I wouldn't mind adding him to a trade and then just bring in Garrett from our summer league.

He might be available if Marshall shows some promise. But right now he's our insurance at point guard an due his low salary it'll be tough to trade him (maybe in a package with Frye).

We have enough 2nd round draft picks (more or less Telfair's worth). The only player for player trade that might benefit both sides is an older veteran PG that can serve as a mentor to Dragic and Marshall. Not sure who that could be right now though.

I don't see the pointing trading Telfair for another backup point, after just drafting a backup point. I like Blake, if he was getting paid like Telfair.

If trading Telfair and maybe a pick, brought us a decent two,I would listen.

I prefer to keep Telfair. I don't like the idea of Marshall being our only backup if Dragic was to go down with something.

We could just sign Garrett from the summer league, he did fine. We could get him totally cheap.

Telfair has a guaranteed deal, might as well just keep him on and run with it

I think we will need Telfair next season.

As much as I like to be optimistic I think it would be unfair to Marshall to immediately put him into a backup role. I think he will probably need a year or so to work on his jumper and get use to the pace of the NBA before he can be a suitable backup. And while some young players hit the ground running I just have the feeling from what i've read that Marshall might be better suited if he took it slow. It wouldnt kill the kid to put in some time in the wieght room either.

Luckily we have all the time in the world.
