How's Beasley looking??

Post#1 » by dVs33 » Thu Oct 18, 2012 4:00 am

Friendly Detroit fan here..

I was just wondering how Beasley has been looking over the preseason. i've seen the stats, but wanted a real fan view on it.
He was an interesting pick up and still has plenty of potential, but how has he been fitting in down there in Phoenix??

Cheers

All the stuff you heard about him about being a ball-stopper.... Frankly looks ridiculous now.

Beasley is really buying into the team concept, passing really well and making plays. Honestly, I would like to see him actually try and take more shots, but I'm very happy with him so far. None of that "ball-stopping" Beasley that we've heard so much about. His range on his jumpshot is really impressive as well. Hitting the three pointer with ease.

Defensively he's been pretty good as well. Being long and athletic, he's a pretty good man defender, but gets lost sometimes in rotations. That'll come with time though.

Couldn't agree more. Went to the Blazers game and saw some of the game before. Beasley has looked great. His passing has really surprised me. Quite frankly he looks like a better passer than our rookie pass first pg. Marshall has been a disappointment for me but its really early so no issue there.

Beas and Wes have both surprised me so far. Hopefully they keep it up.

Judging from a small sample size so far -- this is a different Beasley and he's been not too shabby,

But then again, it wouldn't surprise me if he converts back to his usual self.

We shall see.

Seems to settle for way too many long 2s but his passing is very good.

Beasley should put some muscle mass and be a quick, skilled PF...

has the wingspan and athletism... and height (6'8 ~ 6'9)...

But need strength to bang inside and rebound.
