Telfair should start at the PG spot

Post#1 » by ewingfung » Thu Nov 15, 2012 8:50 pm

I think telfair is a solid PG with the ability to make the right decision. Although Gordon's offensive game is better than telfair I still thinks that telfair has the speed and IQ to make the Suns fly. I think he deserve a chance. This dude really wants to play and win the be the leader. What do you guys think??

So do you really want to bench our best player? The special thing about Telfair is the hustle and energy he brings off the bench. Our rotation is solid but we can't overcome Michael freaking Beasley every game.

I like Telfair and all but I'd still pick Dragic 10 out of 10 times to start games. Telfair beings hustle and energy off the bench and we need that spark. But replacing him for Dragic might actually make things worse.

i would like to preface the following comment by stating that i really like telfair.

that being said, it is a horrible idea to start him over Dragic.

He brings energy and defense off the bench. That's why he is doing so good. I like the Dragic-Telfair combo in the second half though.

LOL I thought you were gonna say start Telfair at PG and Dragic at SG which is more understandable but you want to take Dragic out of the starting line up? You are out ya mind.

I think its worth experimenting with, from watching the games it seems like the ball moves better when Telfair is in the game and its easier for other to get involved on the offensive end. Maybe use Dragic along with Shannon Brown to lead a bench charge or have Dragic at sg with Dudley on the bench.

I thought for a split second by Gordon you meant Eric Gordon, as if we just traded for him. Thanks for making me **** my pants.

His speed and hustle is what makes the Suns "good" when he comes in, not his IQ- while he has improved from the beginning of last season his IQ isn't a strong point as he still commits silly fouls and his shot selection isn't the best. I wouldn't be against moving Dudley and/or Beasley to the bench and making Telfair a starter while sliding Goran to the 2.

If the Suns are around .500 or lower during midseason, I expect Telfair to be traded to a playoff team considering Marshall was drafted and we're rebuilding and all. Right now Telfair's value is just being showcased.
