Gortat for Rondo?

Post#1 » by bball34 » Sat Nov 24, 2012 12:12 am

It is rumored that the Celtics are proposing a trade proposal to land Gortat. I think Rondo will be a good fit for the Suns. What do you think?

Celtics wouldn't do it, and the last thing Suns need is a point guard.

Celtics wouldn't trade Rondo for Gortat and we don't even need a point guard.

How about Gortat and Dragic for Rondo, Bradley, and Sullinger?

Hmmmmm........

Rondo/Sullinger/Melo for Gortat/Dudley/Marshall would be very interesting in my book. We could then slide Dragic over to SG and have a very defensive backcourt that would rake in the assists as well.

Rondo/Dragic/Beasley/Morris/O'Neal

SUNS
Rondo/Telfair
Dragic/Brown
Beasley/Tucker
Morris/Scola/Sullinger
O'Neal/Melo/Zeller

CELTICS
Bradley/Marshall
Lee/Terry/Barbosa
Pierce/Dudley/Green
Garnett/Bass/Wilcox
Gortat/Collins

I like it. Melo would also get more minutes to develop. Chances are we will not land Shabazz in the draft, and 80% of the other top 10 picks are going to be Centers (Very C heavy draft).

It would be dumb for the celtics. Good for us though.

Unless there's a bigger rift between rondo and management than I know about that isn't a good trade for the C's.

I agree, but had to take this idea to the extreme. Celtics fans dont even want to give up Bradley, and think he should only be moved for a star. Most are saying Sullinger is a no go as well. Their online proposals are crap, and they think we would take a package of Courtney Lees horrible contract, Fab Melo and some Joseph guy. Bass's name has been thrown around as well, but he is crap as well. Their proposals are absolutely horrible and laughable.

Well, when you have a team that includes Rondo, Dragic, and Telfair, why keep Marshall? Specially if Rondo was included, Marshall would HAVE TO goto Boston and would log plenty of minutes off the bench for Bradley.

Jeff Green for Gortat. Seems like a fair trade.

Jeff Green!?!? Stop it!!! And Rondo is not even in the convesation guys. I am really starting to think this Gortat crap is all made up rumor crap to see what is offered or by other teams to see if the Suns are really thinking about it.

Bradley is a great young player, but Gortat is a double double machine who can block shots. That Lee, 1st, 2nd, Bass trade for Gortat is horrible. That's why many of us aren't working in NBA front offices.

Every trade involving Rajon Rondo to Suns is utopian. We can net Bradley or Sullinger but i hardly doubt both of them.

Let's wait for the draft to make trades.

this thread is a prime example of "making trades for the sake of making trades".

Fortunately that doesn't happen in reality, unless if you consider NBA2K reality.
