1. The current team is not good enough to win lots of games, to me seein your team win a good game is "fun".
How will they classify fun?? It's so subjective, surely they ran this pass their corporate lawyers and the GM and got approval?

2. Maybe they will make the refund process really really tedious, like need to pass a lie detector test, must fill in 10 pages of documentation, must sign a waiver that the people who claim refunds will not be entitled to any team merchandise discounts, any group ticket discounts in the future, and any other Suns related items.

Basically this guarantee of fun has potential to be one messy process.

At least ticket prices will start to decrease.

I hope.

Does it specify which zones? If not book me a ticket, I'm sitting courtside for free!

I just tried looking at what tickets are available under that offer, and sadly, the courtsides are grayed out.

But they do have some lower level seats retailing at like $170 available...

If I was in Phoenix, I would go for sure and then get the rebate no matter what. That may make me a bad person, but the Suns are a bad team, and I deserve to watch bad basketball up-close for free after all the money I've poured into this franchise.

Dammit! Yeah, I kind of feel like it would be terrible but I'm on the fence about whether I might actually consider it. But the whole plane ticket expense would only be worth it if I could stick my foot out and trip Dirk from my seat.

Lol... Pretty sure everyone that goes to that game is going for free. At least there should be a better crowd attendance.

My thinking on this is that they aren't selling many tickets in the first place, so this will allow them to fill up the arena, and they're hoping to make a decent profit through concession sales.

I detest 'kid zones' and 95% of the bs shenanigans that have infected practically all arenas, all sports. The audio assault that fans are subjected to are obnoxious as well. The overall entertainment effort goes far beyond what is necessary. We are an ADD society.

It's a nationally televised game. They already know that nobody was going to the game, so they're basically giving out free tickets so that they look good on tv. They don't give a **** whether you have fun or not. All they care about is their image. Pathetic.

And concession sales...

I mean, the seats are there, paid for, or not... why not give them away and have people buy **** hot dogs?

This is obviously the 'Brainchild' of the marketing staff.... a small group of talking heads who are paid for 'ideas' to motivate and stimulate the general fan population.

Their arena is a GD morgue full of posers and sedate season ticket holders. They have had this problem for a while. Long gone is the MadHouse on McDowell.... and to be honest, it was never all that mad.

Essentially, they have priced out the rabid fan, especially from the lower levels. Compound that with a transitional sub .500 team and you get what we have..... poor attendance #s and a desperate marketing staff who is likely getting the screws turned on them by Sarver.

Problem is there are all these corporate (season) ticket holders in the lower bowl. They compensate tickets to their clients which often means empty seats or worse yet, the clients go as fans for the opposing teams.

If the Suns marketing guys want to come up with a nifty idea to get fans excited try this. After the first quarter, empty seats in the lower bowl and courtside sections are given to people (rabid Suns fans) in the nose bleed section!!! Basically if you don't show by the first quarter you lose your seat for the rest of the game.

I didn't even realize this game was on TNT. $arver is just trying to save face on national tv. His product isn't very good, but it gets worse if there's embarrassment on national TV. You take the loss of ticket sales for this game, since people weren't going to buy the tickets anyway.
