Jared Dudley

Post#1 » by Sacballer916 » Thu Dec 20, 2012 8:15 pm

Kings fan here. What would it take for us to get Dudley. We are in need for a sf and Dudley's shooting will balance our offense. How about Brooks and Hayes for Dudley?

Suns are trying to stay cap flexible so Hayes gets a no. And Brooks may have wore his welcome out the last time he was here. Maybe Jimmer + James Johnson? I think the Suns would be interested in Thornton as well.

Suns won't trade Dudley since he's one of the leaders and has been great on the court for the last few games as well. Add his fantastic contract and there's nothing on the Kings I'd want.

Thornton for Dudley straight up? I'd do it

I think it would be enticing.

Thornton can provide good scoring in the starting line up and move brown to the 6th man or vice versa.

And moving Dudley would open up space for Wesley Johnson to play in his natural position the 3, and it would allow the Suns to get a good read on his potential.

The Suns wouldn't.

There's nothing to evaluate. Wes Johnson will be playing China next year.

I see People still underestimate Thornton.

I think he would absolutely flourish in the Suns system , he's got this leading scorer mentality/swagger not many players have(Beasley). You can count on him giving you 20 a night.

I think since the Suns are seeing what Mayo's doing in Dallas they would consider a Dudley/Thornton swap.

Thornton is a brutal defender and makes twice what Dudley does. I'd rather maintain capspace and look at acquiring someone still on a rookie deal, or wait for the draft.

I think a deal centered around Burks and Marshall would make sense.

That's completely unrealistic. I don't even think the Kings would offer Evans, not that I would do that deal either given his pending RFA. There really isn't much I like on the Kings roster.

He can get pushed around by bigger players sometimes but at least he competes on the defensive end, he does average a steal per game for his career.

Something like Cousins, Evans and Fredette for Dudley should work.

Opposing SGs have put up 54-57% eFG against him the past 3 years. He is a terrible defender and is best suited as a volume scorer off the bench, that isn't what the Suns need imo.

I don't think the Suns FO is considering shipping Dudley out. The guy is doing a good job on both ends and is bringing a lot of enthusiasm to the game. Not to mention he's one of the fans' favorites. And the attendance has plummeted comparing to the last season. Marketing-wise, trading JD-for-3 is simply not a good move. Plus, I can't see any any team making a satisfactory offer for him.

the only trades the suns will explore would be shipping out a front court player (most likely scola). this gives beasley time at pf and more developmental time for morris.

:banghead: Suns can't trade Scola until after this season ends...
