provided it sarver doesn't end up extending both Babby and Blanks like most of us fans hope so.

I'd love Donnie Walsh to take over, but I expect sarver to keep up with his recent go from within the organization trend and promote the guy who drafted Morris and Marshall Treloar :(

I suggested Walsh about a month ago, no one really bought into it on the boards I'm on.

Blanks and Babby were hired from outside the organization. The previous GM, Kerr, was also from outside the organization. Many of the assistant coaches have been brought in from outside. Really only Noel and Dan have come from within. Then of course there's Lindsay Hunter, who somehow managed to interview for the Magic HC opening, but he came from outside the organization also.

Isn't Walsh the current PBO of Pacers?

Was Blanks a Sarver or Babs hire?

I'd like to get someone young if we do replace. A fresh mind could be what we need.
We REALLY need a better college/intl scout. I don't understand why so many of our picks don't even last in the league while San Antonio finds guys in the second round who have more longevity than players we draft.

What I do expect from the FO for next season (new or not) is just two simple things:

- Come out honest, admit we are bad right now and that we need to get young and develop them accordingly.
- Trading up in the draft or not, improve the scouting network. We cannot afford to waste another draft pick in another bust like Kendall Marshall. Draft the BPA! Drafting for need landed us Markieff (we passed up on Kawhi Leonard) and Marshall.

This is one of those few misunderstandings on this board. Leonard refused to work out for us which is why we never drafted him. Front office considered him.

What about Faried?

As far as our next GM, my vote goes for Los Solos. :D

Kerr had been a consultant to Sarver before he was hired, right? And we drafted Kerr, so he definitely has ties to the organization. I also thought I read that he had a part ownership of the team, but I could be wrong there.

I'm not too big on Walsh. I thought he made some terrible moves in NY.

Didn't know that. Probably did that because he thought he was going higher, he fell a few a positions until Indiana picked him.

Well, at least Shumpert worked for us. I give the FO the merit for acknowledging his potencial, but we would be better right now with him instead of Kieff. And... Faried, dude is a beast.
