I like the deal. Nobody has been underperforming but on the other hand, nobody looks good to me.

Would we do this?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=9wlxx32

Gets us two expiring deal while we get rid of Beasley.
Boston gets Gortat and Singler.
Detroit gets Pierce (which would be the main blocker in this trade: would Boston give him up? This would mean they give a sh.t about loyalty)
Maybe there have to be some draft picks included. Especially picks going Boston's way, maybe one from Det and one from the Suns.

For the Suns this would mean a major cap relief. Plus we can easily decide whether we would like to extend Maxiell's deal.
Are we willing to clear this roster up?

I would do this one.

lol...not a chance
Lee's contract is worse that Beasley's....and even if they were even, this would be Gortat/Johnson for Maggette/Maxiel. THAT IS TERRIBLE

and, you think the suns should throw in a pick?

This trade doesn't seem to do anyone any favors.

Detroit is still rebuilding so I don't know what they would expect out of Pierce. They aren't going to win a title before he retires (or come close for that matter)
Boston is in 'win now' mode. If they trade Pierce without bringing back a star who can score, it is pointless for them.
And as has already been stated, we get nothing of value in return for Gortat.

We (and the other teams) can do better than this.

Can you post a working link or tell us what the trade is?

without looking at it, it must be horrible..

all Boston trades are horrible, they got like nothing.

Sullinger and Melo are crap prospects. Avery Bradley is a 6'2 shooting guard who had 20 games and then got exposed in the playoffs after teams watched tapes of him he couldn't shoot 35% and now comes of two shoulder surgeries.

I'd pass on all Boston deals until they include an unprotected 2014 pick and 2016 pick.

::gasp!:: You're saying Sullinger, Melo and Bradley aren't future Hall of Famers!?!? :o

LOL

They are prospects, not perennial all-stars. They are expected to improve.

Melo/Sully/AB have a bucketload of potential between them. I don't see how it makes sense critiquing AB's talent when he's barely had any time to develop.

They are not good prospects.

Melo is a scrub and a raw project that will need years to develop if he even does.

Sullinger is an undersized PF with no athleticism and chonic back injuries.

Bradley is a midget shooting guard that comes off shoulder surgeries and got exposed in the playoffs.

Apparently this also means being able to simply walk and look where he's going....... all at the same time!
