Lakers lotto watch. Scenic view of the titanic!

Post#1 » by Sunsdeuce » Mon Jan 7, 2013 7:21 pm

What do you think the chances are that they end up being a lottery team?

They are Imploding. Kobe has his team hating him right now. They have zero chemistry. Of course all the blame is on mike D but the truth is Kobe is leading the charge. Mike d must be pulling his hair out with Kobe's selfish play.

Anyway, here is proof of this team imploding

@PaulCalvisi: Who says Lakers ain't entertaining? NY Daily News = "Dwight Howard was restrained from going at his teammate(Kobe)." = http://t.co/GBy9XwN5

Anyway I hope Kobe keeps up his usual selfish ways because we are closer to more lottery picks. Also I think Dwight Howard is all but signed on the dotted line for the nets. As much as Nash pissed me off by leaving to the lakers, kinda feel bad for him.

So do you guys think we are going to get their pick?
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

hopefully, but unlikely. Lakers are a playoff team, and a strong playoff team. Such issues tend to settle after they reach a peak and some heads roll, and we still have a lot of season to go for the current track to be irreversible...

unlike with our dear Suns...

Looks like it will be a race between Portland, minny, utah, and lakers for that 8th seed.

I think Portland will get in.

The west is very tough and I think everyone who plays the Lakers atm knows they are struggling and want to expose them + they are the lakers so people play extra hard anyways. Also they tried to build a super team...So when you come in as another team going againast nash, pau, howard, kobe you wont to serve them up a loss and make them re-think ever joining together.

I dont think the Lakers make the playoffs.

+ people keep saying wait and see things will get better.... They are on a 3 game losing streak atm.

They are a turnover prone team with bad defense.

You need a minimum of 45 wins to get the 8th seed in the West...closer to 47-48 over the past few years.

That means they need to go AT LEAST 30-19. I don't see how a team that's been playing that poorly is suddenly going to flip the switch and start playing >.600 ball

@Hou
@SA
@OKC

If the Lakers go 1-2 here they are at 16-20 and would have to go 31-15 to close out the season.

And before the allstar game they still play MIA, @Chicago, @Memphis, OKC, @MIA, @BKN, @BOS, LAC

They have a soft schedule in March where they could go 13-2.

If the Lakers are 20-26 at the end of January I will start getting excited about the pick because I don't see them finishing 27-9.

It's funny that the Cavs board has the same topic sense they think they are getting the pick. I was worried that they might be right, but with Coro confirming the conditions of the pick I'm pretty confident the Suns will get it if it does turn out to be a lottery pick.

And they still have to play us 3 more times. Might as well just add 3 losses to their total now. 8-)

Howard will miss the next 4 games.

Jordan Hill and Pau Gasol will miss the next 2 games.

1-3 over the next 4 does not seem unlikely.

Who cares. Knowing the Suns history they won't take advantage if Lakers fail to make the playoffs. Expect the next 4 to 5 years dark days for your Phoenix Suns.

Zach Lowe ‏@ZachLowe_NBA

Ath trainer MT @RotowireATC: Howard's torn labrum is big. Muscles can be strengthened to aid stability but surgery likely depending on tear.

Eddy Rivera ‏@erivera7

Jameer had a torn labrum in his right shoulder in February 2009. Same injury Dwight just suffered. Returned to the Finals in June.

Eddy Rivera ‏@erivera7

Jameer had surgery on his torn labrum, BTW. Hence the lengthy recovery period. Sounds like Dwight will elect not to have surgery.

Wow the Lakers are going to start Jordan Hill and Jamison now?

It's like positive karma for the Suns being classy and sending Nash to where he wanted to go, even if it was a hated rival.

Two lottery picks could be huge in helping our rebuild, I just hope we don't strike out again like we have been doing in recent years.

Nope. Hill is out as well.

Those fighting rumours seem to be BS.

Just read that. They basically lost all their productive big man and Robert Sacre gets the start now. :lol:
