Why couldn't Clark play this way his first 3 seasons in the NBA like he's doing with the Lakers? I'm watching the game now and he looks solid and previous games as well once he joined the Lakers. If this dude becomes a 15/8 player I'll be pissed.

I liked Clark. Gentry never played him. Our loss I suppose.

If you look at his minute splits he was always a high PPG and RPG guy. DBL DBL

But he was also shot a low %

Well the Magic never played him either. He lucked out due to injuries on Lakers. Some players take awhile hence why some you can't call busts until they really have had a chance to do something.

Also minus Tucker, Kerr's major draft picks over time don't look so bad now.

He's finally getting playing time and settling into his own identity as a player. Plus, he was pegged as a 3-4 year project prospect.

After we made the WCF in 2010, it seemed the plan was to ease him into the back-up PF spot. Then, as you know, **** hits the fan in the offseason - enter Babby & Blanks who try to sell Hedo as a PF and Warick as a homeless man's Amare.

It helps that he's playing next to 4 HOFers

He is still terrible on defensive rotations and moving off the ball on offense. He always did have good shooting form so I'm not surprised he's increased his % but I don't think he'll ever be a player you can count on because he makes too many mistakes.

wanted to post the same topic few days back. He's been getting solid numbers. Especially impressive is his offensive rebounding in a few games, which then has nothing to do with the HoFers he plays with.

I like to think this can serve as a lesson to us to give our lottery picks time to come into their own.

This only shows the zero ability of the Suns to develop young players. It hurts me to think what Dragic would look like now if he hadn't been traded to Houston. If i remember correctly, Clark was used in Phoenix only for spacing and occasional long-range jumpers, which he rarely made. In general i have the impression that all the young Suns players somehow lack confidence which affects their performance and eventually would permanently throw them out of the rotation.

This is a lesson to play your young draft picks even when they are surrounded by all-stars. Olajuwon won his two championships with Horry and Cassell as 1st year and rookie players playing significant minutes on the team.

Giving them time to develop means ... your not good enough to play in the NBA ... crushes any confidence they have.
