Frustration thread

Trying to find nice things to say but it's impossible. Just want to share some tweets I'm getting. Time to just let it out. We are always nice on this board. This is your one chance to say how you really feel.

This hunter guy and blanks are pieces of human toxic waste:
@sportszona: With news breaking that interim head coach Lindsey Hunter is being investigated for mortgage fraud, Suns management is in panic mode.

Blanks continually made promises to hunter for a head coach position. Created job after job for him. Please read azcentral bob young article on this.

Majerle wasn't even considered for coach. Arizonasports.com

@sportszona: Add in conflicting reports about Jermaine O'Neal and Lance Blanks getting into a profanity-filled argument, and the Suns are sinking fast.

@AZSports620: Report: #Suns GM Lance Blanks, center Jermaine O'Neal engaged in shouting match Monday - http://t.co/jwZNxeYg

@BobYoungTHI: Anybody really believe Lindsey Hunter wasn't brought in to be the next #Suns coach? http://t.co/36HaML94

There is so much more. Very upset fan here. I remember the suns drug scandal in the 80s, that is nothing compared to time. The corruption and distasteful people working for the suns is so disgusting right now.

Please do not hold back. Let out all your frustration.

Btw: wanted to share this with u! Sarver losing money fast.
@DonHarris4: @az_deuce not true lost over 600,000 in revenue by noon on day of gentry firing. I hear many big time fans including Tom Lehman bailed out.

I think every thread is a frustration thread at this point, haha.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said, other than the fact that I'm still bewildered at how we went from the WCF to the worst team in the West(and one of the worst teams in the league) in two seasons. That has to be some kind of record.

BLANKS and HUNTER

DrSublime (January 22, 2013 12:17 pm)

they both seem like idiot's and seem to be acting like common thugs, promoting their buddies, firing people who don't agree with them just because they have the seat of power. Sarver if you even only 99% as dumb of a basketball person as it seems you are you would be able to figure this out and fire the both of them ASAP

One of the main problems with the Sarver era is that he just doesn't seem loyal to anyone. While I'm not happy with Blanks, this franchise will never get anywhere if Sarver just continually fires every GM every couple of years. How could they build anything? From Colangelo to Griffin/D'Antoni to Kerr to Blanks, there has just never been a strong lasting foundation for anything.

Sarver also just seems stingy with his money at the strangest times. Initially with JJ, with Kerr, with Kurt Thomas, paying draft picks (Iggy or Deng, Rondo, etc) but at other times takes on silly deals through free agency (Q, Banks, Childress, Warrick, etc) or trades (Hedo, Shaq) with which we have to dump in bad trades or amnesty.

There has never seemed like any sort of long term cohesive plan. I think last summer some felt we finally were moving forward with some type of plan, but the way they go about things is just head scratching.

We just REALLY have to bank on the draft going forward and have to hope we can use our cap space to take on guys on reasonable deals thru salary dumps that maybe give us more picks. But we have to make sure not to use any more cap space on crap.

I like just don't agree with on its not hunters fault. He had a lot to do with the firing. He was backdooring gentry for awhile from what I read. Things like barking out plays during the game. Management was told and nothing was done. And coordination between blanks and him from the start of the season that hunter would get the job.

I have been a season ticket holder for the past six years and a fan for as long as I can remember. I was in the building when shaq pointed to his ring finger and gave us and empty promise, I was there when our bench single handedly beat the lakers in game 4 of the 2010 west finals to even it up. I have seen us waste our money on players that can barely get off the bench. Needless to say I have seen quite a bit over the past few years but this has the lowest it has ever been.

Some people asked for gentry's head and I questioned him at times but he was a great coach.
08/09- leads them to 46-36 record but amazingly doesnt make the playoffs with a stacked western conference.
09/10- one of the best seasons I have ever seen with a 54-28 season and a highly competitive west finals.
10/11- lose your second best player in amare and amazingly finish 40-42
11/12- an aging nash and hill and still no real help for them and finish miraculously 33-33

With a talented roster filled with great role players Gentry took us almost to the brink. With garbage and two senior citizens he almost took us to the playoffs. Red Auerbach with assistants Phil Jackson and Larry Brown couldn't make this team any better than it is today. Gentry deserved much better than what he got here.

Now for as far as hiring Hunter it is beyond idiotic. Now I may be wrong and he may end up being a good coach but this is a guy who has ZERO coaching experience not in pros, college, wnba, anywhere. Pauly roundball wrote a good article saying Lindsey Hunter = AJ Hinch and if you guys are dbacks fan you will know what he is talking about. And I think the Hunter's results will be similar to what Hinch had which were horrible. My first choice would have been Turner but I'm not gonna rag on Majerle saying he doesn't deserve it. I think he does deserve it he has paid his dues and its only the second half of a miserable season anyways so what the hell.

In the past six years of being a season ticket holder I have not once questioned about renewing my tickets until now. I'm sick of these bonehead signings like childress, warrick, and beasley. We fire and shun well respected coaches and leave our bleak future in the hands of the three stooges (babby, blanks, sarver). Its embarrassing that such a well respected franchise and winning one could fall this low.

Fact: In October, Gentry told friends he would be fired and replaced by Hunter, who was given a job created just for him. It was an on-deck circle, a holding pen, and everyone knew it.

More reason to hate hunter and blanks

Goran Dragic requested a trade after Gentry was fired. Look for Scola and Dudley to be moved before the deadline.

what can possibly be done by the FO now?

Only thing would be to trade for bad contracts sabotaging a proper rebuild in 2014....

Patience.... is the key.

I'm surprised the entire team hasn't been asked to be traded yet, at least even the other bottom dwellers have some sort of hope or promising rookie. All we have to offer is despair with this current regime and the sheer hope they don't manage to blow our high draft picks. They blow those picks and we are the Mavericks pre-Cuban.

To think we could lose Dragic twice, only with $arver,

I'll always be a Suns fan, but I'm not wasting any money on tickets or merchandise for quite a while.

Who needs Dragic when we have our PG of the future in Marshall.

Marshall as our PG is a great idea......said nobody ever.

First off, Scola can't be moved until this summer.

Secondly...where are you hearing this from?

You're starting to lose cred with the Scola part.

Well, if they do move Dragic and play Mashall at least we know there's a plan and that plan is to suck harder than Lindsay Lohan on a crack pipe.

If Dragic is as pissed as it sounds like he is about Gentry, we're gonna have trouble getting him back mentally. He's the kind of player who has the potential to check out and half-pack his bags if he's not happy with his surroundings, and at that point we're screwed no matter whether we keep him or trade him.

I don't like to buy into the doom and gloom if I don't have to, but I'm really not liking what I'm seeing...
