I always liked Clark and thought he had potential but obviously he was very irratic when he was on the Suns but with the Lakers he seems to be playing really well lately.
Did we give up on him too soon or is he just benefiting from playing with four all stars in Nash, Kobe, Pau and Dwight?

I think we gave him up too soon. His ceiling is higher than markieff Morris

We may have done better if we tried Earl at the four after we lost Amare. Maybe we wouldn't have signed Warrick. Oh well, if Clark wasn't on the Lakers, I would be happy for his success.

He put zero effort on the floor with us, he will roller coaster back to inadequate in a month or so.

I heard he was just a little immature and overwhelmed at first but that happens to alot of young players who maybe arent 100% ready to play in the NBA but they are more than ready to get paid.

Too soon? I dunno man. He was in Phoenix for a year and a half and didn't do anything (literally nothing). He was better in Orlando but obviously not enough to hold out for in the Dwight trade. He is half decent right now and being hyped hard by the Laker fans.

I had high hopes for Clark and expected him to be our starter at SF once his third to fourth year rolled around. He's playing as well as I expected him to play, and it's too bad he's not on our squad anymore. I think he has great defense because of his length, and I'm hoping the Suns might sign him over the summer, lol.

I don't really watch Laker games so I can't really tell if he's turned the corner yet though. The only game i watched of him recently is the Lakers loss and he didn't play that well due to foul trouble and he didn't really attempt that many shots either.
I hope he continues to play well.

He has shown flashes of rebounding and some offensive bursts (ala Marion without plays being called for him), HOWEVER his defense is atriocious and WAY worse than Amare's. Did we give up on him too soon? Ehhhh. To me he will always be a busted draft pick.

He was used to turn Hedo into Gortat, trading him was absolutely the right move regardless of what happens to him. If any team should be upset by his emergence it'd be the Magic but I doubt they are. He still gets lost on rotations and can't play off the ball, but he has been more decisive when he gets the ball.

He was touted to be atop 3 talent in his draft but it was a matter of putting it together. I guess we had to move him in order to get rid of Hedo so not much choice there. But he is having a pretty good run with the Lakers at the moment.

Earl Clark is, was, and always will be a scrub.

Clark has good size, but he's just...bad. Like if you shot Jeff Green in the leg.
