Came across twitter. And hoopshype. Any just throwing it out there. Don't see any trade involving the Knicks that the suns would benefit from. Knicks dont have any assets. We are in rebuild mode and need assets.

Of course knicks are interested, I bet more than half of the teams in the league is interested too but that doesn't mean they CAN obtain him. Look, with Dudley it's impossible to get fair value because there are not many good players on great contracts. If we trade him it's a lose lose situation. Dudley is a perfect guy for us whatever situation we are in, he'd be great if we were chasing the title and he is great to have in a rebuilding situation either because he brings veteran leadership, basketball IQ and like I said...his contract is so GREAT that it won't ever hurt us.

Hey. Knicks fan here.

Yes, Shump did just recently (1 month ago?) come back from ACL surgery. He's still not back to 100%. He's probably around 70%, IMO. But he's still very young and that helps in that the younger you are when you have this type of injury the more likely you'll be able to come back 100%. I think Shump will. He's not limping or anything like that.

Most of the Knicks forum don't want to give him up for Dudley because he can be a lock-down defender/harasser. He has a great sense for steals - closing in on the passing lane and picking a players pocket. He can hit the 3 and slash to the hole.

I think you guys would be getting one heck of a young player who you could build around for the future. The Knicks board is already having a civil war about it. lol.

Shump's really the only guy who is remotely attractive on that roster, given our situation.

Dudley for Melo or gtfo. Lol @ people on the Knicks board suggesting Novak for Dudley! Does that include the lube as well?

It also says the Suns are trying to shop Telfair for a draft pick. Makes sense considering how few minutes he's gotten lately.

I'm still high on Shumpert from the 2011 draft. Would not be opposed to moving Dudley for him. Although I would hesitate if they are asking for a high 1st as well.

I love reading the 50+ page Dudley thread on the Knicks board and them acting like we are trading Dudley as a salary dump, it makes you even wonder if they even know the contract that Dudley has and how its one of the best value contracts in the league.
