Game 72: Phoenix(23-48) @ Utah(35-36)

Post#1 » by rsavaj » Wed Mar 27, 2013 11:51 pm

6PM local time, 9PM EST

Bright Side Preview: http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2013/ ... -utah-jazz
ValleyoftheSuns Preview: http://valleyofthesuns.com/2013/03/27/p ... azz-35-36/
Coro Preview: http://www.azcentral.com/insiders/paulc ... aft-boost/

This game directly affects the outcome of the race for the 8th seed in the West. Utah and Dallas are currently one game behind LA, who plays tonight at Minny.

If Utah and LA both win tonight(as expected), they'll keep pace with each other. However, if we beat Utah, we're going to have to pray long and hard for a Lakers loss too.

Jermaine might not play tonight, so expect to see a lot of Haddadi.

Paul Coro ‏@paulcoro 17m
Dragic was told that he's being held out of #SunsAtJazz tonight to rest & give Marshall & Garrett time. By the way, Utah's 1 back of Lakers.

hehe :)

Could they be more purposely tanking? Good job, Hunter!

It seems the Lakers tumbling back to the pack has triggered to tank to drive this evening. Now we just need the players to cooperate and not win in-spite of it.

We're not tanking...we're strategically losing. There's a difference. I think.

Wow KOW and S2 should be happy with this game. Somebody in the front office must be paying them for tanking advice.

Very smart move sitting Dragic. FO finally starting to get it.

Maybe they read the forums. ;)

I don't think we need to rest guys to have an outcome of a loss at this point.

WTF I can't believe I missed the game. Didn't even know Suns played tonight :x .

Wes was 8/16 tonight. Was he taking it it to basket alot or just hot hitting jumpers. Looks like he only had 2 FTA so I'm guessing he was hitting outside shots.

Yup.
Or should I say... Strategic Draft positioning....
A lose outcome far outweighs the win outcome.
2 lottery picks > 1 lottery pick.

2 lottery picks = more assets to quickly get better.

Jazz has a favourable schedule... Saying that I wouldn't be surprise if they lose the next 5... smh Jazz.
